It isn't saying having a king is bad. Read what the king not appointed by God will do. That is the problem.

"Robert Pate" is making the assumption that people are only motivated by money or some form of material reward.

How does one explain young American soldiers charging ashore on Omaha and Utah beaches during D-day, Tarawa, Iwo Jima, Okinawa, Pickett's Charge at Gettysburg and dozens of other examples where people faced an agonizing death - without any prospect of some future financial renumeration.

Yes, there are a lot of selfless heroes in the armed forces. Most heroes don't believe that they are going to die.

Human nature being what it is, likes to be rewarded.

No reward, no effort.

CANADA IS ACTUALLY A SOCIALIST COUNTRY

--We have Socialized Medicine and Government supported Hospitals.

-- That way everyone gets treated no matter how little money they have.

-- We do NOT Need private INSURANCE.

No, Canada is not a socialist country, not even in all caps.

This recent redefining of socialism is stupid, and just setting up people to be open to real socialism later.

Canada, and the US, and Sweden, and Denmark have some socialistic policies, but none are socialist countries. Not even if you throw the word democratic in front, it doesn't fit.

If Sweden and Denmark don't qualify as socialist countries, which nations would "GuySmiley" place in that category?

As for capitalism's contentions concerning the need for the profit motive, the 2008 economic meltdown was largely a result of those in the financial sector putting itself and the world at risk in their relentless pursuit of bonuses. This is a classic example of the product motive being counterproductive and having a negative impact on the lives of millions!
