Married or separated? Dating or having sex? I'm going to assume you mean an ongoing marriage relationship, and an affair outside of marriage.
He would deserve to be caught.
He would deserve to have his wife leave him.
In other words, he would deserve to suffer whatever consequences came upon him because of his bad behavior.

It depends on the circumstances; in some cases, no.
The women who sit in jail in Pakistan because they were raped are victims of unrighteous examination under Sharia law. Certainly their children who are also victims, and who also sit in jail with them in many cases, have done nothing at all that needs to be examined.

If that is true, I can't imagine remaining single and celibate for twelve years just to retain medical insurance benefits I could pay for myself by working or even get for free from the state.

it was for the boys more than me - as I was thinking about it the other night, i couldn't remember a single time when i had to use the coverage for myself
and the boys have been off on their own for some years now, and i've been off her coverage for a while too
one of these days i'll get around to finalizing the divorce
right now it's not very high on my to-do list :idunno:
