Religions USA should NOT allow into the country

If you're thinking of banning Islam, you should also ban some versions of Christianity.
Ban Christian Bible colleges offering degree and post grad qualifications unless their degrees are authenticated and overseen by a state or mainstream university.
Ban pastors from leading, whether paid or voluntary, unless they have proper authentic pastoral qualifications.
Ban any religion that advocates violence as a primary means to achieve its own objectives.
Shut down any church that does not have proper policies to protect its members, especially children, from abuse.
Ban JW's as they operate a non-co-operation policy with the state.
Ban secret societies.
Ban all religions that teach pacifism. Again, everyone should co-operate with the state, which provides them with security and stability (one hopes). Conchies should be allowed to work in non-combattant services in case of war but in that case they should work for twice as long.

I'm not suggesting doing any of this. Just saying that if you are going to ban Islam then you need to do this as well.

It is legal to curtail immigration from a given country. But this country has freedom of religion. You can't ban a religion.

You can ban immigration though, which has nothing to do with banning the religion, although I recognize that you would love for that straw dog to be the only talking point.

Nothing to do with the proposition. Banning a religion is not on the table, however a prudent move of stopping immigration of certain people who have clearly demonstrated that some of them at least harbor evil designs on this country and her people is wise.

It's certainly been done before, by wiser people than seem to be running the country and arguing on this forum.

eg, Jimmy Carter banned Iranians from coming in after the Iranian uprising and hostage taking. (Today they would not take hostages, just kill them.)
