Refuting the Fallacious Doctrine of Believe To Be In Christ

Robert Pate [Epoisses, & Grossy, too] adopted the teaching of Augustine that people are born spiritually dead in sin. But that doctrine is false.

Did God that same day Adam sinned just fold His hands and did NOTHING to save Adam, just like a father doing nothing but watch his child drown? No sir. God, that same day Adam sinned, implemented the plan of salvation He devised before the foundation of the world (2 Tim 1:8-10), and saved Adam, reinstating him to his pre-fall status. That salvific act of God cost Him His only begotten Son, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world, and made Adam to be In Christ the same day he sinned. With Adam In Christ, all his descendants are born In Christ, instead of born In Sin, as Augustine taught and believed on by both Calvinists and Arminians.

And to the enigma of Universalists, only overcomers will finally make it to heaven and eternal life. Rev 3:5; 21; 20:15; 21:27.

This is why God commands every man everywhere to repent (Acts 17:30), because people - being born in Christ - are capable of overcoming evil with good. Why would God ask all to repent and then punish those who won't, if not all are capable of repenting?
Still remains unanswered by proponents of the false doctrine "Believe To Be In Christ".

Arminians and Calvinists had been engaging each other in a pot-calls-the-kettle-black centuries-old-debacle. Their dilemma stemmed from believing the false and scripturally untenable doctrine that people, because of Adam's fall, are born spiritually dead in sin as propounded by Augustine of Hippo. Augustine failed to realize the fact that God by His nature of love cannot just sit back and simply watch Adam who has fallen into sin without doing anything to save him. An earthly father, even at the peril of his own life, will do all he could to save his drowning child.

That God waited till Calvary to save man is just like sending an ambulance years after the emergency has occurred. No sir. God implemented the plan of salvation He devised before the foundation of the world, saved Adam that same day he sinned, and reinstated him to his pre-fall status. This salvific act of God cost Him His only begotten Son, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. With Adam In Christ, all his descendants are born In Christ, instead of born in sin as Augustine taught. The plan of salvation was manifested in the life, death, resurrection and continual ministry in the heavenly sanctuary of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

This saving act of God when sin first entered the world is manifestation of the grace given us in Christ before the beginning of time. That saving act that put Adam and his descendants In Christ, belies the false teaching that people can only be In Christ IF and only IF they first believe. This false teaching of "Believe To Be In Christ" not only transfers to man the credit that solely belongs to God, but also propagates a works-based salvation.

God's commands for all men everywhere to repent also debunks the Calvinists' doctrine of limited atonement.

There's no reason for a just God to require those who are not capable of repenting and then punish them if they won't, God knowing that they are not able to since they were not among those atoned for and therefore are not In Christ and can do NOTHING.

No one is born into Christ. Because of Adam we are all born into sin, Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10.

Your doctrine is anti-Gospel and is also anti-Christ.

God does not create robots that are without a free will. If God did that he would be unjust and could not be trusted.

You have little to no scripture to prove your doctrine. The reason for that is because the Bible does not support what you are teaching.

In the Gospel God justifies the ungodly through faith, Romans 4:5 and reconciles the world unto himself by Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:18, 19.

You said that. Don't ascribe it to Paul who said all died with Christ and were made alive together with Christ (2 Cor 5:14, 15; Col 2:13; Eph 2:4-6) and were fashioned into His Body on the cross (Eph 2:11-19).

We have NOTHING to do with our being In Christ. It was all grace. You are teaching works-based salvation. "Believe to be In Christ" is a false doctrine.

No Paul said it. Your unbelief is rank.

What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Rom. 3:9,10

No one is born into Christ.
Wrong. God made man upright or righteous. Eccl 7:29. And to be made upright or righteous is to be born in Christ, because Christ is our righteousness.

Because of Adam we are all born into sin, Romans 5:12, Romans 3:23, Romans 3:10.
Misuse and abuse of Scriptures. Those verses do not say what you want them to say. They say all have sinned. Sinning is done AFTER birth, NOT before nor during birth.

Your doctrine is anti-Gospel and is also anti-Christ.
Try harder. And refute Christ's words that APART from Him, man can do NOTHING. You are preaching against what Christ said. You teach that people while still APART from Christ can do SOMETHING: they can believe to be in Christ.

God does not create robots that are without a free will. If God did that he would be unjust and could not be trusted.
Man's freewill is used in choosing to repent or not, because only overcomers can make it to heaven and life eternal. Rev 3:5, 21; 20:15; 21:27

You can't see the Scriptures in my posts because you refuse to see them, just like your refusal to believe in Christ's words that APART from Him, man can do NOTHING.

Whose faith? Man's? No, sire. It's the faith of the Son of God, that the Father dealt to every man (Rom 12:3).

You are a blind follower of Augustine's teaching.

The verses you quoted don't say people are born in sin. They say instead that all have sinned, and so are under sin, and sinning is done AFTER one is born, not DURING, nor BEFORE birth. It's because all have sinned that all became unrighteous; NOT because we were born unrighteous because Scriptures EXPLICITLY say that God made mankind UPRIGHT. Eccl 7:29.

God is merciful, just and righteous in all of his dealings with fallen man.

Salvation has been provided for all by the doing and the dying of Jesus.

"God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that WHOSOEVER believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16.

Don't reject what God has provided for you in Jesus Christ.

BELIEVING is exercising faith, an act DOABLE only when one is NOT APART from Christ Who said APART from Him man can do NOTHING. Why do you find it hard to believe these words of Jesus, Robert?

If while apart from Christ, people can do SOMETHING - like believing as Robert claims, then Christ did not say the truth when He said APART from Him man can do NOTHING?

But if He told the truth and He really did, for there's no guile found in Him, why won't you believe Him, Robert, when He said APART from Him, man can do NOTHING?

Why do you, Robert, along with Grossy, believe in what Augustine taught, instead of believing in what Christ said?

HOGWASH!

People become Christians by hearing and believing the Gospel, Galatians 3:2.

You are trying to build a doctrine on one scripture.

on the day of Pentecost 8,000 Jews heard and believed Peter's Gospel and were saved, Acts 2:41 also Acts 4:4.

"Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God" Romans 10:17. Which is the Gospel.
