I follow professional and amateur sports less (read: not at all) than anyone on this board, I'll wager, so I have no idea either way. But in today's atmosphere, you think the NFL - a business - decided to flip off the people who (let's be honest) wanted the guy to play primarily because he's homosexual? I'm really not too sure about that, but again, I know nothing about the sport.I definitely think that the circus that would have come along with his making a team hurt him and that if he'd stayed closeted he'd be on a team or at least a practice squad.
