Not from the victim, no.
But there is a choice that would guarantee not being raped, but that choice comes from the rapist only.
When it comes to rape, the only one guilty or responsible is the rapist.
It makes no difference if the woman was drunk, half naked, and stripping, or was at home in her own bed wearing curlers, face cream, and flannel pjs.

The only reason a rape occurs in any situation is because the rapist made a choice to rape.
The guilt is his alone.
The responsibility is his alone.
The blame is his alone.

I haven't seen a sole say such a thing.

Just for the halibut, I think everyone knows that, but didn't say it.

You did. Also, you are lecturing me about things I never claimed.

Pretty simple concept ... unless one desires to make excuses for the rapist ...

Which nobody does. It should make one wonder why women feel nonetheless to consistently bring this all up as if people are. Seems to me like a tactic to snuff out the fact that 'rape awareness' is simply a degradation toward men. People don't need to be made aware of rape anymore than a man needs to be made aware of what constitutes rape and that it is wrong.

Exactly. Not one person has made an excuse for the rapists.

The only excuses I'm seeing are for those women who insist they can play the slut without ever facing any consequences for what they do. Since time immemorial people have known that acting the slut can lead to a woman being raped. No excuses....just facts. Burying ones' head in the sand will never change the facts.

Acting and dressing provocatively is how women have chosen to enjoy their liberation. It's taken for granted, and they ask that men themselves support their choice and defend them from potential dangers.
There's a great vanity that goes all the way back to Eve therein, dragging Adam into it and creating enmity.

Not all women. And most men support their choice without any coaxing at all. We live in a world of sin. This should come as no surprise to anyone. There is enough fault and guilt to go around without squabbling over it.

Have you even seen all the extreme scenarios that have been spewed out?

Do you really think everyone is stupid enough to fall for that they were posted to get the response that no woman deserves to have her body raped by another for any reason at all?
Or do you think they were posted to make one question whether a woman sometimes deserves to be raped because of her behavior?

Seriously, which response do you REALLY think those scenarios were supposed to conjure up?
Be honest.

That message is extremely degrading to men, and is the cornerstone of the entire 'rape awareness' thing. I feel I need to reinforce that reality, because apparently such a perspective on this matter is quickly lost sight of.

This is what it always boils down to- what's been said on here is the inevitable route it goes. It never becomes about what women can do for themselves, or what they need to account for, or anything.

"Dragging Adam into it"??????
Eve didn't drag Adam into anything.

She swooned Adam into eating the Forbidden Fruit. That fruit was vanity.
It correlates extremely well with many things, especially this subject- women want men to support their provocativeness and take care of the potential consequences.

This is sort of the problem with the modern feminist stance- there is no third party- whenever they don't do something themselves it is ultimately men who are called to do it.
