Christianity is a religion much the same as anything else. Nationalism, politics, science, fashion, sports, entertainment. If you do anything religiously or if you have a strict set of principles you adhere to you're religious. Everyone is religious. Like anything else, religion in it's various forms, has good and bad. The cross is a phallic symbol, first popularized by Tammuz, the Sumerian Dumuzi. Nimrod (Genesis 10:8-10; Ezekiel 8:14). It was introduced into the apostate church after the Emperor Constantine the Great, a sun worshiper, allegedly hallucinated it in battle. The apostate church was founded by him as his political tool. God was never in that business, but Robert Farrar Capon certainly was.

It's ridiculous to think religion can do much about the world's problems, other than perhaps to suggest it makes them far worse than they are. It's even more ridiculous to suggest that God would solve the problems of the world when he is nothing to do with it and forewarned that world of it's potential self destructive conclusion long ago. God isn't going to solve those problems - yet - and when he does that world will be a thing of the past.

To those bound up by organized religion, Jesus cries, "You search the Scriptures, because in them you think you have Life." The consecrated host is kept safe in a safe-like cabinet called the tabernacle. We kneel toward the tabernacle when we enter and before we leave the church (where Mass is).
