An example of one of his Christmas messages.

Mrs
Psalmist
and I send
you this for
Christmas, may
your cup of blessing
be so full that you are
drinking from the saucer,
may the porch light ever be
on so you can find your way
home, may you and your family
be a blessing to each other everyday,
and may a stranger know how really sweet
loving and kind you are. May this Christmas
be not like the rest, may this Christmas be by
the Savior blessed for He was sent to bring not
only peace and goodwill, but to bring that marvelous
gracious gift from the Father above, a light to all the
world and a great salvation for man kind, a better way.
Merry Christmas
to you and yours

Prayer Of Saint Francis Of Assisi:

Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to Eternal Life.
Amen.

I just know waking up in glory with his joy completed and meeting our Lord face-to-face was amazing.

God bless you, Psalmist. You made it home.

:)

A Grace Preacher once related the following...

A very close relative of his had just passed away; and it had all but devastated him...

He is sitting there at the hospital with a brother in the Lord...

At one point the brother cites some Scripture...

For a moment, it's last verse has no impact on the Preacher. Then it has its' intended impact.

And it dawns on him that all the time he himself has been preaching that passage for thirty years on similar occassions, it has always been to others.

But now it is being preached to him; now it is to him that the Apostle Paul's intended impact through those words is being directed at.

Hearing that account, I imagined he was describing a sense much like a love song one does not personally understand until that day when its words describe one's own personal experiences.

The passage that brother shared is a familiar one; may it be each your personal one, though, this day, in this moment of our dear brother's homegoing.

Its words...

1 Thessalonians 4:

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

He almost never had a negative thing to say, even when pressed by the most irritating members of TOL. He was always full of praises to the Lord. I am privilaged to have known this man through TOL. I have moved his thread to the hall of fame.

Here is one of his posts and he has made hundreds like this.

Evening Praise the Lord.

:poly:

In the Cool of Evening

In the cool of evening,
My Lord comes down
And walks with me,
In the darkest of valleys,
He’s there to walk
And talk with me.

On the mountains,
Or in the valleys,
In the darkest of the night,
In my sorrows,
And in my trials,
He whispers it’s all right.

In the cool of evening,
In the garden of my heart.
When my heart is distressed,
He comes to me with grace.
When my soul grows weary
His arms are there to caress.

Oh Christian,
Why be discouraged,
When God is on His throne.
Oh why don’t you hasten,
Hear Him calling you home,
Yes, calling you home.

In the cool of evening,
He will walk and talk to you,
Yes in the cool of evening
He’ll walk and talk to you.

Praise the Lord! Amen! and Amen!

Blessings, peace, grace and mercy to all here at TOL!

Thomas was not only a TOL friend of my but we also shared a love for auto racing. Thomas and I have been close for many many years. This is truly a sad day.

TOL was lucky to have Psalmist and I was lucky to be able to call him a friend.

Yes, he and my husband shared a love of classic cars in addition to a love of God.

My prayers are with Mrs. Psalmist and that she be especially comforted by Jesus Christ in these coming days.

He did it with Luke, and I didn't do a copy and paste. I haven't been able to find it with the purging.

Psalmist is old school Pentecostalist, he knew the great ministries of last century...now I was saved through one of those old timers and learned from him. So I had a lot to share with Psalmist.

Mebbe he was redden hot when he was young :) but we knew him as a gentle soul full of blessing.

He even solicited being my friend, although I disagreed with him on many issues-that tells you much about his character.However, I just could never bring myself, to "go against him," even with my often abrasive style. Again, a learning lesson for me, and all.
