Mr. Irrelevant? Chad Kelly, the troubled qb from Ole Miss. The upside, he's already had plenty of practice at being that and a degree that's likely mostly that. lain:
I think it's the Count Chocula association. Harder to put down than Old Yeller. lain:Mel Kiper has never been a great draft analyst. But he has always gotten air time for reasons unknown to me. Now, his football commentary is getting really bad. Do you ever wonder what games he is watching?
Well the Cowboys are now Zeke and Dak's team. Fountain of youth!
There are a lot of richer people now who are also glad.Former Patriots linebacker Aaron Hernandez is a murderer. He was unjustly in prison for murdering a man over a bag of marijuana. He hung himself in his cell this morning. Just in case you missed SportsCenter this morning when you were drinking your coffee.
I'm glad he is gone.
Interesting. I was looking at CBS ranking strength of schedule this year. The Pats have the 12th hardest schedule, which given their talent pool is pretty sweet if you're a NE fan.In their latest Super Bowl odds, the William Hill sportsbook in Vegas has listed the Patriots as heavy favorites to win it all next season. The Patriots were originally listed as 4-1 favorites by William Hill in February, and have now moved up to 3-1 odds.
The Raiders have the second-best odds at 15/2 (up from 12/1) in February, while the Cowboys have the third-best Super Bowl odds, even if they got slightly worse (from 7-1 to 8-1)...In any case, William Hill has the Cowboys behind the Raiders, but ahead of other early post-season favorites. Per 5/6/2016, William Hill has the Packers (17/2) sitting right behind the Cowboys, and the Falcons (12/1), Seahawks (12/1), and Steelers (12/1) not far behind.
Atlanta: 13th (see: same general comment as with NE).

The Raiders are looking at the 4th hardest with a team that has something to prove. Seems optimistic as odds go. Really depends on whether the run their qb put together before his injury was the new rule or an aberration.
The Cowboys own the 10th hardest schedule, which gives that talent a little breathing room while being tough enough to test them.
Packers: 18th, weaker than average schedule for a team that can compete with anyone? The odds make sense.
Atlanta: 13th (see: same general comment as with NE).
Seattle: 25th, and the football gods are smiling on the 12th man.
Steelers: 27th, ditto.
Pittsburgh is a good sports townSince this is the NFL offseason, I must point out the following:
The Pittsburgh Penguins won Game 7 tonight in Washington. The Penguins are now 6-0 in Game 7's on the road all-time.
That's an incredible stat. If you take all the Game 7 stats from the World Series, NBA, and NHL, very few teams win Game 7 on the road. The Cav's did it last year in Sacramento, but it doesn't happen very often.
To be 6-0 all-time in Game 7's on the road is amazing.
As for the NFL, the only thing comparable is winning a Conference Championship Game on the road. So, let's look as some stats:
In the AFC, only the Miami Dolphins and Denver Broncos are above .500 on the road. Miami is 1-0, and Denver is 2-1 on the road.
In the NFC, only the NY Giants are above .500, and they are an impressive 3-0 on the road in the NFC Championship Games.
Of the Patriots 7 trips to the Super Bowl in the Brady/Belichick era, 5 of their AFC Championship wins took place in Foxboro, while the other 2 wins took place in Pittsburgh :madmad:
The money has a hard time loving Atlanta. It's a team with a reputation for being fragile that seemed to be dispelled last year, going into half time of the Super Bowl. The next thing you know they're the 94 Super Bowl Bills and then some. Is the problem under center? Has he been too tainted by that legacy and did the biggest game expose the Falcons weak jaw again?I don't know why they wouldn't be the favorite team out of the NFC.
