Tim Tebow hit his 4th home run in the minor leagues.

That gives him 1 more home run than Michael Jordan had. Jordan had 3.

Speaking of the Bus and a predictable offense...that didn't slow down Barry Sanders. So to me he is a tier behind. Do I want to tackle him? Hell no.

A few thoughts.

RB's on good teams, IMO, deserve a nod over those who played on bad teams.

Walter Payton and Barry Sanders played on some really bad teams.

The Top 15 all-time in rushing yards

1) Emmit Smith - 18,355
2) Walter Payton - 16,726
3) Barry Sanders - 15,269
4) Curtis Martin - 14,101
5) LaDanian Tomlinson - 13,684
6) Jerome Bettis - 13,662
7) Eric Dickerson - 13,259
8) Frank Gore - 13,065
9) Tony Dorsett - 12,739
10) Jim Brown - 12,312
11) Marshall Faulk - 12,279
12) Edgerrin James - 12,246
13) Marcus Allen - 12,243
14) Franco Harris - 12,120
15) Thurman Thomas - 12,074

Ok, now I'll rearrange the above RB's by # of winning seasons they had:

12) Franco Harris
11) Thurman Thomas
10) Marcus Allen

9) Tony Dorsett & Jim Brown
7) Emmit Smith, Curtis Martin, Jerome Bettis, Edgerrin James
6) Walter Payton, LaDainian Tomlinson, Eric Dickerson, Marshall Faulk
5) Barry Sanders
3) Frank Gore

Ironically, the last three on the yardage list, are the first three on the winning season's list.

For Nick M....2 of the guys on the list were born and raised in Pittsburgh (Dorsett & Martin), and 2 of the guys on the list are Pittsburgh Steelers (Harris & Bettis). Not to mention, that Dorsett and Martin both played at Pitt.

YPC on the bad teams? And Barry had many negative running plays where he tried to make what wasn't there. Even with that, his ypc is excellent.

But keep in mind Barry Sanders retired at 30. As he felt that he could do no more. And felt he ran his course. Plus he was indeed on a not so good team towards the end of his run.

Nike has a summer football camp called The Opening. They do regional qualifying and then go to Oregon. It is kind of like the NBA All Star Weekend. The Finals in Oregon don't prove much. You can catch 7 on 7 high lights on ESPNU. I won't be watching.

After the Steelers beat the Cowboys in Super Bowl X, the NFL wanted to title the Steeler's film "America's Team". Art Rooney didn't like it, and turned it down.

The only person who has said that happen is Art Rooney himself. No one else.

And his jealousy of the real America's team was well known around the league. So he was just dreaming!

Well Art did have his reasons. As he was known for being a humble and modest man from what I read.

Kirk Cousins could be walking elsewhere as the Redskins will not "show him the money" like $25M a year!

He is the reason Terrell Pryor went to DC.

The SEC football preseason has started. Media days is in the books. I will continue non NFL, NFL news that is not the upcoming season here instead of the official 2017 thread that isn't started.

The NFL can't help themselves. There is rumors being circulated so we can get used to Zeke being suspended to start the season in Dallas knowing he didn't do it. If he did beat that girl, a 1 or 2 game suspension is woefully short. If he didn't, there should be no punishment. Do what is right, and you don't have to come off as the jackwagon owners that you are.

Speaking of Zeke....Adam Shefter is reporting he went to duke city in a bar, and a dive at that. The alleged victim didn't know who the assailant was. How hard is it to fly under the radar? I don't get it. Mr 5020, expect to start your season without him.

More Dallas news for Elliot....a witness who was a friend of the victim said Elliot was not near them. And the Dallas PD has closed the investigation due to the victim not responding to the PD. Makes me think he has warrants.

As for O.J., I vividly remember when he ran for 2,003 yards in 1973. He did it in 14 games. I remember watching his last game that year when he gained 200 yards to surpass 2,000 yards.

Prior to O.J.'s 2,003 yards, no RB other than Jim Brown ever ran for more than 1,500 yards in a season. It was a big deal when O.J. broke the 2,000 barrier. (it's still a big deal today, even in 16 games)

O.J.'s best two games that year were against he Patriots. He gained 250 yards, and 219 yards against the Pat's that year.

When the Steeler's won their first Super Bowl in 1974, they had to play Buffalo in the first round. I remember how nervous Steeler fans (and me) were about playing against O.J. in the first round.

However, the Steel Curtain held O.J. to just 49 yards.....that was the least amount of yards O.J. gained in a game in his prime, and that was O.J.'s only playoff game in his 11 year HOF career.

The Steeler's defense was just amazing back then. Even against O.J. Simpson.

Hugh Freeze has resigned from Ole Miss effective immediately as his work phone was shown to have a call to an "escort service". Of course, he was cheating big time any way. Watch for the hammer to fall severely.

"This is a sad day for the University of Mississippi. ... Coach Freeze resigned this afternoon after confirming to Ross and me a pattern of personal misconduct inconsistent with the standards we expect from the leader of our football team," explained Ole Miss chancellor Jeffrey Vitter in a press conference. "... We cannot accept the conduct in his personal life that we have discovered. ... This matter is totally unrelated to the NCAA case."

If you're gonna solicit prostitutes, get yourself a burner phone.

You'd think if you made $2.5 million a year, you could splurge for a $50 burner phone at Walmart.
