"Arabs are a cruel people, even without Mohammed . " Really now. Arabs are no more cruel than any other ethnicity .Atrocities are and have been committed by people of all races, nationalities and ethnicities all over the world . To single Arabs out for cruelty is bigotry ,pure and simple .

It is true that people of many cultures have committed atrocities. Right now it is the Arab and Muslim world that is violent, and whose violence affects the western world most.

I believe that Omar was told to kill kids at Disney but wasn't Islamic enough to do that so he went to kill gays instead. I mean that's an option I would take if I were a satanic Muslim

You're reading poorly. You're advocating the USA becoming Nazi-style bigoted nation. You want to ban ALL Muslims not just the "radical" ones.

Wrong, you draw a parallel to this nation as being one in the same with nazi Germany and I say if you want to see bigotry, and intolerance you only have to look at radical islam because that is a direct parallel to the nazis, it is exactly what they believe whether that is what you meant or not. Does America throw gays off of roof tops? Practice genital mutilation or the beating of women? Cut the heads off of people? Need I go on? Your rant of hatred against one of the most tolerant nations on the planet...America... is just absurd. For Americans to identify those that wish to kill them & take steps to counter that is not bigotry or hate it is called survival. It just doesn't fit into your nice utopian box...facts that is.

So you'd be OK for gay Americans to take steps to kill those on the religious right in the US who hate them and would like them executed as they think the OT says? It'd be OK for American Muslims to attack thosee Christian Americans who wish them harm?

For protection and survival, right?

The Bible is inspired by God. 9 out of 10 interpretations of the Bible are not.

...and my personal interpretation is of course the correct one, the one out of ten...

In our (Jewish) tradition, there is room for multiple interpretation. "There are 70 faces to the Torah". But I've also heard - there are 70, but not 71. Implying that some interpretations are plain wrong.

It's not close to 200,000, and that is irrelevant.
Hmm, wrong again. That is a habit of your. Your Under Secretary for Defense expects for 2017 there to be 182000 active and 38000 reserve Marines. That is quite close to 200 000, isn't it?
I said not one Marine has to come in on the landing craft.
And yet you think that a couple of missile boats can wipe out an idea held by a quarter of the word's population.

Now, away from the rabbit trail.
Come on, Nick. You are nothing but rabbit trails. I thought you must enjoy them. :)

That he is violent when dealing with the wicked. And it isn't implied. It is boldly proclaimed.

Violence against objects and violence against people are very different. And if this is so boldly proclaimed then why is it the first time I've heard about it? What about the other examples in the Gospels where Jesus meets confrontation? Does this one instance with the money changers outweigh those other examples? What happened in the garden when Peter drew his sword? What happened when he was confronted by the mob who tried to throw him over the cliff? What happened when he had the opportunity to stone the woman caught in adultery? What happened when he was crucified? Didn't Jesus say to turn the other cheek?

So now we're expected to believe that the murderer was in fact a closeted homosexual who, due to homophobic bullying, was forced to beat his wife, cruise queer websites and murder 50 people.

So, see? Jihad had nothing to do with the murders. He was a victim too, just as much a victim as the homosexuals he murdered.

Victims of bigots like YOU.

It's YOUR fault they're all dead.

Watch. That is the narrative we'll now be told to believe.

You don't do that by banning them from the country and ostracizing the moderate members of the community. If you do that you play into the terrorists' hands. Instead, you welcome and embrace moderate elements of the ideology. And you do not react by bombing innocent people in their home countries and denouncing Islam as a whole.

Obama has been sucking up to "moderate" Islam since he took office and all that loving embrace has resulted in hundreds of victims on US soil.

"The ex-wife of Orlando mass killer Omar Mateen claimed Monday that she believed he was homosexual — as it was revealed that he frequented the gay nightclub where he staged the nation’s worst massacre in modern times.

Sitora Yusufiy, who was married to Mateen in 2009 for three months, made the shocking claim on Brazilian television station SBT Brazil.

Her fiancé, Marco Dias, speaking in Portuguese on her behalf, said that Yusufiy believed that Mateen had “gay tendencies” and that his father had called him gay in front of her. Dias also claimed “the FBI asked her not to tell this to the American media.”

The bombshell came as a male former classmate of Omar Mateen said he had been asked out romantically by the mass killer, who reportedly was a virtual regular at the Pulse nightclub, having visited it more than a dozen times over the years.

The former classmate said he would hang out with Mateen, hitting gay bars after attending class at Indian River Community College police academy in 2006 — and one time Mateen asked him out “romantically,” according to the Palm Beach Post.

“We went to a few gay bars with him, and I was not out at the time, so I declined his offer,” the former classmate told the paper.

The classmate told the paper he thought the killer, who pledged allegiance to ISIS before killing 49 at the Pulse gay nightclub, was gay and in the closet.

The classmate’s claims came after reports emerged that Mateen frequented the club for years before Sunday’s massacre.

“It’s the same guy,” Chris Callen, a drag queen who performs under the name Kristina McLaughlin, told the Canadian Press. “He’s been going to this bar for at least three years.”

Callen’s husband, Ty Smith, recalled seeing Mateen being escorted drunk from the club.

Sometimes he . . . would get so drunk he was loud and belligerent,” he told the Orlando Sentinel.

At least four Pulse club-goers remembered seeing Mateen at least a dozen times in the past. But authorities said they had no further information when asked about the sightings on Monday. NBC reported that the FBI was looking into his alleged club visits.

“[He’d get] really, really drunk,” Smith told the Canadian Press. “He couldn’t drink when he was at home — around his wife, or family. His father was really strict . . . He used to ***** about it.

They also shot down claims that Mateen had snapped after seeing two men kissing each other in public.

“That’s bullcrap, right there. No offense. That’s straight-up crap. He’s been around us,” Smith said. “Some of those people did a little more than (kiss) outside the bar…He was partying with the people who supposedly drove him to do this?”...

One Orlando man, who refused to be named, told MSNBC that he had seen photos of Mateen on several gay dating apps, including Grindr, Adam4Adam, and Jack’d. He claimed that at least two of the man’s friends had been contacted by Mateen on the apps in the past.

“He was very creepy in his messages, and I blocked him immediately,” the man said.

"

wow, looks like this guy was a dejected gay man who turn to radical Islam. The family of this guy is definitely trying to cover up his previous gay tendencies.

Let's really communicate folks. Major media is trying to muddy everything by using the terms moderate and extreme. That's because they are opposed to theological and constitutional clarity etc. The issue is theocracy vs pluralism. That is what our constitution is about. There should be a system in our intake of refugees and immigrants in which they swear allegiance to our constitution's embrace of pluralism.

To be clear, most Muslims who read that will think 'ahhh, tolerance of us.' Actually no, because Islam is fundamentalist and exclusive. ('There is no god but Allah...') Shari'a law is fundamentalist and exlusive. An imam in the background of Orlando taught that killing homosexuals was compassionate--ie, ending their sin early, so that Allah would not harm them as much. (--the Clarion Project newsfeed).

btw, no one is trying to bomb innocent people in their own countries. Mistakes happen; war is messy. Just read about the Spitfire raid in WW2 in which a school right next to an SS office was hit by total accident as the raid unfolded.

A gay man who attended the police academy in 2006 with Mateen said that the pair went out to gay bars and that at one point Mateen told the man he wanted to pursue a relationship.....

The attack, which many assumed was an act of Islamic extremism, now appears to possibly be tied to Mateen's own shame over his sexuality and investigators are now looking into this internal conflict as a possibly motive.

The shooter's father, Seddique Mateen, made his beliefs on gay people very clear in a video he posted to Facebook on Monday saying 'homosexuals will be punished by God.'...

'He's a homosexual and he was trying to pick up men,' said Jim Van Horn, who called Mateen a Pulse 'regular' and described his approach to chatting with people in the club.

'He would walk up to them and put his arm around them or something and maybe try to get them to dance a little bit or something and go over and buy them a drink.'

The former male classmate of Mateen who was once asked out by the mass-murderer told the Palm Beach Post that he would hang out with gunman alone and in groups, and that they went to gay clubs together during that year.
The man, who did not wish to be named, was a classmate of Mateen's in 2006 when they both attended the Indian River Community College police academy.
He also said that refused Mateen's romantic advances at the time.

'We went to a few gay bars with him, and I was not out at the time, so I declined his offer,' he said.

He said that he believed Mateen was gay and closeted, and that he was an 'awkward' figure.
'He just wanted to fit in and no one liked him,' he said. 'He was always socially awkward.'

Regulars at Pulse said they saw Mateen several times over the past three years drinking alcohol and dancing with men.

'When we had gotten married, he confessed to me about his past -- that was recent at that time - and that he very much enjoyed going to clubs and the nightlife,' Yusufiy said.

'So, I feel like it's a side of him or a part of him that he lived but probably didn't want everybody to know about.'...

His father, Seddique Mateen, told the Palm Beach Post that he didn't believe his son was gay. 'If he was gay, why would he do something like this?' he asked the paper.

And he had previously recounted a time when his son became angry after seeing two men kissing in Florida.

But speaking to The Canadian Press, Smith said that the story was 'bullc***'.

'That's straight-up c***,' he said in an interview at the GLBT Community Center of Central Florida.

'He's been around us. Some of those people did a little more than (kiss) outside the bar... He was partying with the people who supposedly drove him to do this?'

Classmate Samuel King said Mateen was not homophobic when he knew him in the year after their 2004 graduation.

'What is shocking to me is that the majority of the staff at Ruby Tuesday's when I worked there were gay,' he said.
'He clearly was not anti-(gay), at least not back then. He did not show any hatred to any of us. He treated us all like the individuals we were. He always smiled and said hello.

He was a murderer at heart. The murderous example of Mohammed appeals to other murderers by giving them the rationale to indulge their desire to kill, and even promises to reward it after death.

When I got up this morning my wife told me that (at the time) 20 people had been murdered in a nightclub shooting. When we went to church later in the morning my Pastor prayed for the dead and their families. I didn't know either time that the dead were proud and unrepentant sinners.

Whether you want to acknowledge it or not Art, 50 lost souls will be spending eternity in damnation because they didn't repent and ask Jesus Christ to be their Lord and Savior.

You say that as if there is some kind of a problem with praying for proud, unrepentant sinners? I'm sure glad people were praying for me when I lived my life in that way. Yet you don't actually know anything about any of the victims. Many heterosexual girls, for example, will frequent gay clubs so they can dance without attracting unwanted attention from men. So it's a very big assumption to assume that 50 homosexuals were killed. Though even if they were all homosexual, that does nothing to minimise the value that each person had. It may also do you good to remember that the victims of this horrific tragedy aren't just those who were injured or killed, but their families and friends too.

I'm sorry that I didn't make myself clearer. I was even more saddened when I found out that 50 proud and unrepentant sinners were murdered and that they are going to spend eternity in damnation.

I'm sure glad people were praying for me when I lived my life in that way.

I pray for lost souls daily: Art Brain, annabennedetti, patrick jane, Rusha, etc. etc., all are in my prayers.

Yet you don't actually know anything about any of the victims. Many heterosexual girls, for example, will frequent gay clubs so they can dance without attracting unwanted attention from men. So it's a very big assumption to assume that 50 homosexuals were killed.

If there were indeed "heterosexual girls" amongst the victims, they surely weren't at a homosexual nightclub preaching to the homosexuals that Jesus has a better way, they were celebrating sinful behavior with them.

Though even if they were all homosexual, that does nothing to minimise the value that each person had.

I guess I've never considered celebrating sinful behavior as something "valuable".

It may also do you good to remember that the victims of this horrific tragedy aren't just those who were injured or killed, but their families and friends too.

As I mentioned in the earlier post we prayed for the families (even more so) as well. It was sad to see on the news that one of the mothers gave accolades to her son because he started a "gay/straight club". How sad that in life she contributed to her son's eternal damnation.
