The last time I saw Maryland this year was against Ohio State, who is not that good, and took them to the woodshed. They might yet lose this afternoon.

What is "ok"? Refill it after the first round. You should get a higher percentage with known matchups.

Dayton coach Archie Miller is the little brother of Arizona coach Sean Miller.

After Dayton's win yesterday, Archie is now 5-1 all time in the NCAA Tourney as Dayton's coach. He took Dayton to the Elite 8 last year, and is 2-0 so far this year.

All of his wins have come as an 11th seed.

BTW, Dayton only has 6 scholarship players, and not one player on the team is taller than 6'-6" (only one other Div 1 school besides Dayton has no player taller than 6'-6")

For Nick M: Bothe Archie and Sean Miller were born and raised in Pittsburgh.

there will be at least an 11 seed in the sweet sixteen
but
there are two 14 seeds that could make it
so
yes there will be a cinderella

I realize some lack brain power, but people play after highschool. You are watching it now...

Yesterday wasn't nearly as exciting as the first day. I did get the Dayton upset correct though. Which is good because I also have them beating Oklahoma.

He's also the one with the attractive wife who became somewhat famous last tournament. And her Dayton High Life shirt. :chuckle:

I was 24/32 in the first round.

I lost 4 of my Sweet 16 teams and 1 of my Elite 8 teams (Iowa St).

I am not sure how old you are, but do you remember they last time they played in the tournament?

I give you the second hit from the google search. The first was a 4 minute youtube video.

I remember it.

In 84' Dayton was an 10 seed. They beat #7 LSU, then #2 Oklahoma, then #6 Washington, before losing to #1 and eventual NCAA Champion Georgetown in the Elite 8.

Last year Dayton as an 11 seed. They beat #6 Ohio St. then #3 Syracuse, then #10 Stanford (who upset #2 Kansas), before losing to #1 seed Florida in the Elite 8.

Can Dayton do it again this year?

It should help them that they are playing Oklahoma in Columbus, Ohio. It's only about 65 miles from the campus of Dayton to the Nationwide Arena in Columbus.
