Why are you asking dishonest questions? You said the Law no longer exists.
The law no longer exist for Christians, but those that are under it will be judged by it.
This is why Paul said, "For you are not under the law, but under grace" Romans 6:14.
Why are you asking dishonest questions? You said the Law no longer exists.
Dementia is a terrible disease to witness....
Pate:'s "logic: The law was made for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and mothers and murderers of mothers and for manslayers, even though it no longer exists.
The believer not being under the law, it's authority, "not made(my emphasis-it's authority, as a rule of life-my note)for the righteous man," is not equivalent to the law being destroyed/abolished, you demon.
Pate to the judge: Judge, if you do not abolish the law, we are all guilty of breaking it!!! Abolish the law against speeding, adultery, rape, murder.....................because these are contrary to me/us in society, and we might break them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Abolish the law, judge!!!!! I do not want to pay this debt/IOU, nor do I want anyone to pay my debt(Pate-"No, on Christ dying for our sin debt/IOU, paying it on our behalf")for breaking these bad laws that are against all of us!!!!!!!!!!!!!Abolish these bad laws!!!! That is the solution!!!
The judge: The laws are good, for everyone's benefit. They stand. The problem is with you/society breaking the good laws, and the fine/debt/IOU for breaking these laws(sin/offense/transgression)is against you, not the good law itself . Pay the fine. And lock this lunatic up.
Pate: Abolish the law!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pate, man, this is most logically inaccurate statement I've heard in a while. You need the law because you don't have the Holy Spirit. If you had the Holy Spirit you would know that the law has been abolished.

The law has not been abolished for you because you are under it and will be judged by it.
Jesus came to abolish the law because we cannot do it.
I belong to the church of "It is written", which is a phrase used often by Jesus, Peter, Stephen, and Paul. You must belong to the church of "I must".

Pate:We US citizens are not under the laws of foreign countries, because the laws of foreign countries do not exist.
Pate's Romans 6:14 corruption: "For you are not under the law, but under grace, because the Lord Jesus Christ came to destroy and abolish the law, not the sin debt, and thus the law no longer exist."
No such thing as "The law no longer exist for Christians," but it does for others, you moron, as TOL laughs at your demonic "logic," butchering of the meaning of words.
Pate: The laws of foreign countries do not exist for US citizens, but those that are under it will be judged by it, as he, in dementia, intoxicated "logic," defines "do not apply," "have no authority/jurisdiction" for US citizens, as "do not exist."
Pate continues his demonic "logic," that, since someone cannot keep from doing/keeping the law of God, it must be destroyed/abolished/made void. And, unless a law is destroyed, we are under its authority.
Pate: Unless the laws against speeding, rape, murder, adultery.... are abolished/made void, we are all under it, and judged as guilty.
Pate: If the laws of foreign countries are not abolished/destroyed/eliminated/maded void, we are all under it, and will be judged by it.
And he, in demonic drunkenness, corrupts/trashes/butchers the meaning of abolish/destroy/makes void, saying something can be destroyed/abolished for some, un-abolished , un-destroyed, un made void for others.
Demonic moron, spiraling into dementia....Seen it often, in the financial services industry...
That is his demonic "reasoning," from the pits of hell.
For eg.:
Pate gets a speeding ticket. He goes to court, and, in front of the judge...
Pate:Judge, I demand that you abolish/destroy the law against speeding. It is not a good law, because I/others cannot keep it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!This law is not for my benefit, or society's-it is contrary to/against me/society!!!!!!!!!! Abolish it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And, if you do not abolish it, it automatically condemns me, judges me, as guilty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The judge: No, the laws are good, and are for everyone's benefit, including yours. They are not against you, are not contrary to you, they are not against society, they are not contrary to society, -they stand. The problem is with you/others breaking these good laws, and the debt you/others must pay for these offenses(sins) you committed. That is what is contrary to/against you/others. Pay the fine. The law cannot condemn you, just because it is in place.
Pate: No!!!!! Abolish the law!!!!!!!
The judge: Either pay the fine, or go to jail-the law stands.
Pate: No!!!!The laws are not good-they are the problem, not me!!!!
Benevolent, gracious judge: Tell you what, Pate. Someone just paid your fine/debt/IOU(sin, offense, transgression) on your behalf. Justice is served. You are free to go(Christ died for our sins....paying the sin debt, IOU)
Pate: No!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That person need not have paid my fine/debt!!!!!(Christ need not die to pay the sin debt/IOU). The solution is to abolish, destroy, make void, the laws against speeding(fill in the blank), so that we will not have to "do" these laws, obey them, and the solution is not the fine being satisfied(Christ-propitiation)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Benevolent, gracious judge: Lock up this man for dementia, contempt of court, lunacy-put him in a straight jacket.
The Holy Spirit will NEVER lead one to sin, but the law will, Romans 7:8-11.
Cool. I guess Matthew 5:17-19 should be ignored?Where is your scripture that refutes what I have said.
The law does not produce righteousness. The law produces sin, Romans 7:7-12. The law will not cure our sin problem, it only makes it worse.
The law no longer exist for Christians, but those that are under it will be judged by it.
This is why Paul said, "For you are not under the law, but under grace" Romans 6:14.
Laws don't apply to me because I am perfect and complete in Christ, Colossians 2:10.
The law is for you because you are one of these, 1 Timothy 1:9, 10.
Yes the Holy Spirit will NEVER lead one to sin...and NOT because the Law is abolished...
The fact It DOES LEAD is because the Law remains...
You really need to think this out better Robert...
if the Law is abolished no one needs leading...as there is no more sin...
The Law remains is WHY we need the Holy Spirit...to lead us
“Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. 9 For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; 10 and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”
Beware Robert...He said Himself it is not just crying “Lord! Lord!” but those that DO the will of the Father...those that keep His commandments...
If the law is abolished there is no more of any of those...since the time it was abolished...
Cool. I guess Matthew 5:17-19 should be ignored?

Jesus came into the world to provide salvation for fallen man. There cannot be salvation for anyone if the law has not been abolished, "But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of the Spirit and NOT in the oldness of the letter (law) Romans 7:6.
No doubt about it, John W. is under the law and will experience the curse, Galatians 3:10.
This is why he is such a sinner. The law is causing him to sin, Romans 7:8. The more he lives by the law the more he will sin.
You really don't know anything about the scripture if you think that is what love your neighbor means. It is written that you should love your neighbor as yourself. This means that you should sell all that you have and give it to the poor.
| Leviticus 19:17-18 17 Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him. 18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the Lord. |
There are many scriptures that teach the law has been abolished for Christians, Ephesians 2:15 is just one of them.
