Not according to 1 Cor. 12.
A very simple question. The body has many members. Each member must check in with the brain. The brain decides what will be done except in the case of animal reflex.

The brain may be superior, and superiority may reflect in standing, but Jesus turned that all upside-down :
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.

Medically true, psychologically the self is the superior .
Psychology is the study of mind and behavior.
The way it works is that smart Christians are the brain cells in the body of Christ, strong Christians are the muscle tissue, Christian singers are the vocal cords, and so on.
