In terms of a tangent, the 10th amendment in the Bill of Rights is bad. The 14th was needed to counter it with slave trade. This is the excuse places like California, Illinois, and New York use to install draconian laws. This is the same thing. The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. The right to assault officers who are apprehending violent criminals does not exits. They are hypocrites.

Granted. The controversy was that Pretti was armed and this led to him getting shot. Republicans were like, he shouldn't have been armed. Liberals are like, he has a Second Amendment right to be armed.
I agree with you. If you're committing a crime like obstructing justice, then your right to keep and bear arms isn't the topic anymore, the topic is you're a criminal, and you're armed. That's a death sentence unless you're lucky. Pretti was not lucky.
