I'm going to ask that people who want to discuss any other topic than Bacon start a thread on whatever it is that moves them. So side bars about what's more or less important and any other discussion any of you who haven't been talking about that want to have, publicly or privately, should be moved to a thread you create for that purpose.

I'd like for this one to stay on target and the secondary bits have gone on for a while now. There's a lot to say on the topic and I'd like people who are interested in it to not have to wade through volumes of posts that aren't addressing it.
