No they are not Two separate events, neither does scripture say that they are. To be reconciled to God is to be accepted by Him, and put into a right relationship with Him. You deny that those in a Right Relationship with God are Saved , that is ignorance !

God has reconciled the whole world unto himself by Jesus Christ, 2 Corinthians 5:19.

The reconcilation is not yours if you don't recevie it.

Another insincere comment !

You frequently accuse the apostles of being liars when they don't agree with your false doctrine.

Paul plainly says that... "God has reconciled the world unto himself by Jesus Christ" 2 Corinthians 5:19.

You bring judgment on yourself when you accuse them of being liars.

More slander and misrepresentation ! You don't even believe that scripture!

Another insincere comment! I read what you post everyday , that is how I know what you believe !

All Robert has to say can be found in one or two of his numerous redundant threads. Nothing new therein afterwards, just repackaged content with the same themes. You need to broaden your horizons a wee bit.

Why not read this, or this, or this?

I teach the "Historical Gospel" of Jesus Christ as the only means of man's salvation.

I believe that it is the Gospel plus nothing and nothing but the Gospel. It is a very simple basic message.

Religion is very complicated that is why you like it.

Of course they are two separate events, and of course scripture says so.

Yep.

Yep.
Scripture tells us that many are called but few are chosen.
The many that are called are the ones that are reconciled by accepting that the blood of Jesus was shed for their sins.

That is not enough to be saved, because God will choose His elect from among those that have been reconciled based on how they live their faith after they have accepted the reconciliation.

Please note that the choosing is all up to God, but answering the call is all up to us.

An analogy is when a director for a play announces a casting call.
Many people will line up for the chance to gain a role in the play, but the director will only choose a few of those that answered the call, and will not choose any of those that did not answer the call.

that is ignorance !
And all of that ignorance is held by you.

Those Christ died for are reconciled to God, saved and put into a right relationship with Him ,while they are enemies and unbelievers! Rom 5:10!

What!

Romans 5:9 New King James Version (NKJV)

9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.

Without the blood and its cleansing power, there is nothing.

Being justified by His blood and being saved from wrath are two separate events.
You won't be saved from wrath without first being justified by His blood, but being justified by His blood will not automatically ensure that you will be saved from wrath.

Sorry you believe that. You miss the whole meaning of the cross. What did Jesus say. "it is finished!" The shedding of his blood gave remission of sin and brought men back into right standing with the Father.

Jesus said that when He finished the task that the Father gave Him to do.

Philippians 2:8
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

The shedding of his blood gave remission of sin and brought men back into right standing with the Father.
Yes, but you seem to be missing something.

Matthew 13:18-23
18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it;
21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.
22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.
23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Only the one that brings forth fruit will be saved.

If you thinks works will get you to heaven you are sorely mistaken.

Ephesians 2:8-10 New King James Version (NKJV)

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

We can not help but show good works because we are saved.
