Lots of things - some think its alien made, some think its some kind space base thing, some think its a wiccan worship thing, some people think its just the remnants of an old sun dial, ive heard lots of different theories on it

curious to what those nearest to it think and say about it
Most here in the UK probably need to check with Wiki first. ;)
However my understanding is that it seems to have originally been an ancient burial site several thousand years before Stripe thinks God created the world. :liberals:
"Bluestones" were later brought from IIRC Wales because they were thought to have healing powers, according to a BBC documentary I saw recently. People went there to get well apparently.
But I gather it kind of evolved over many years originally though what we see today has been partially reconstructed. That's my limited understanding anyway.

What about the chicks?

(No pun intended Mods, really.:comeout:)

I dig Brit chicks, as I'm an equal opportunity chick digger. They sometimes(emphasis mine)don't dig me, however. I think it's due to my long hair. They think I'm trying to supplant the Beatles.

Stonehenge is seen here as an ancient Pagan ritual site. I've been to the parties there at the summer solstice and got to talk with some real wiccans which was quite awesome. Unfortunately I have never see any chickens there or anyone playing football.

Plus I do agree with you John W, Brit weather and beer usually does suck. However, I'm going to uni in the west country where it is mostly sunny and I can drink some really awesome ciders :p
