I'm JAGG and its nice to be here with my fellow Christians.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and to learning a lot
from you, and perhaps making some contributions to the ongoing
conversation.

I would describe myself first as a Christian, secondly as a Christian
family man, and thirdly I lean toward the conservative side of the
political spectrum. My wife and children are also Christians and
conservatives and I thank the Lord for that every day.

Also I am an optimist and do my best to stay in a cheerful mood
most of the time. I love to read the Bible and one
of my favorite passages is 2 Tim.3:16-17 which tells me that all
Scripture is given by inspiration of God and contains the truths
that I need in order to live a happy and successful Christian life.

I remember the Lord Jesus himself quoted God's word on 3
separate occasions when He was tempted by Satan in Luke
chapter 4 and remembering this (along with 2 Tim. 3:16-17)
has always been a comfort and bulwark of strength to me in
my Christian walk with the Lord.

So that's a little bit about me and again its nice to be here
with you and thanks for having me.

Also I will mention that I try to maintain a sense of humor
and get in a few laughs every day.

I also like the New Testament words "Hope" and "Faith" in
I Cor. chapter 13 and I try to build my life on hope and faith,
and love too but not the soft mushy interpretation of love.

I think you all have a very nice forum here and I have read
some of the threads and enjoyed them.

May the Lord bless all of His people and Christian families
everywhere as we make our pilgrim's journey through this
life.

I would tell them that first they had to be regenerated (born again Jh. 3:3) by the power of the Holy Spirit. And that was a supernatural work that was done within them that would make it possible for them to pray the sinner's prayer, which prayer would require that they repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus as their Savior. I would then explain that believing on the Lord Jesus as their Savior meant that they were trusting in His death on the cross as the atonement for their sins. That Christ's death was a substitutionary death which meant that the Sovereign God had accepted Christ's death as full payment for their sins, and so they can know for a fact that they now have peace with God. "Therefore being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1)

I would get around to fuller explanations later on.
