Hi! I'm new here and it's my first post.

I'm not new to theology though, especially... the online kind :) I joined my first theology discussion group in 1996. I took a very break from it but now I'm trying again to find a place to chat.

My theology evolved a long and windy road, the only thing that never changed is the Bible which I trust and still study, but the way I interpret it took dramatic turns many times. Today I'm trying to find a place to talk, share ideas and thoughts.

I come from Poland, I moved to the USA after... meeting my wife online :) At another theological discussing group :) Crazy, huh? :)

New government seems to forget what democracy means... Several days ago President Obama refused to talk to the Polish president - it's that bad...

Despite democracy not being that great a thing to begin with, Obama refusing to talk with the Polish president is a really bad sign. Elections coming soon? Would the voters consider freedom?

Democracy might be a good thing if it means going away from communism/socialism and that's what Poland was in before :)

Nah, it's just my ideas. I'm far from being an expert on politics and perhaps I'm wrong in lots of my political views; what I know is the average income in Poland is $300 a month and the prices are close to American ones. It's been like this for last 20 years, not a thing changed except for food prices rising constantly, gasoline is over $5 per gallon, and now the new Polish government instead for trying to change this started making some changes in the law taking away some aspects of freedom from people. Tiny ones, but what if they're just warming up...
