When I was a kid I enjoyed watching horror films about vampires,
werewolf's, mummies, and other assorted monsters and creepy
things. I'm a child of the 50s. The movies back then weren't
like the disgusting horror films of today. They were more or less,
"Morality Plays." Good verses evil and good always triumphed
over evil. That's the way it was back then.

Christopher Lee as Dracula was one of my favorites. However,
no matter how much evil he spread, in the end, he was always
dispatched by Professor Van Helsing, (Peter Cushing) the good
guy in the movie. Christopher Lee was interviewed once and
stated that, "It's interesting if you take the D out of Devil you
get "evil, and if you take one of the "Os" out of good you get
God.

There are some, True Believers on this forum, (good) and, there
are some cultists. (evil) There are also varying degrees of
posters that cling to many different kinds of beliefs, doctrines,
and other forms of religiosity. There are some cultists that creep
into Christian oriented threads and pretend to be Christians, in
order to spread their false doctrines and cultist beliefs.

These types know the words and phrases to use and therefore,
are able to infiltrate threads without anybody being the wiser.
They fool/trick the weak into accepting them as sheep, when
all the time they're vicious wolves. They use Scripture as one
of their ploys. I believe it's the duty of "True Believers" to expose
and call attention to such wolves. If they were seeking truth, that
would be one thing but, if they're just here to disrupt and try and
corrupt God's Message of salvation and eternal life then, they
should be exposed for what they are! That would be, "Wolves in
Sheep's Clothing."

I often do wonder if the Pharisees saw themselves as vipers or whether they thought they had the good of the people at heart, even Judas? was it in his mind that he was being treacherous? or was he a radical zealot who became disenchanted with Christ.

That they were vipers is total, Jesus was not using hyberbole, they were guilty of Christ slaying in the end...but they were the "nice" people, public officials, church leaders. They were folks who totally committed themselves to doctrinal positions which they felt must be maintained come what may.

We all may fall, make no mistake about that. Not so as to lose our salvation, but we can fall into error.

The problem is not making mistakes, it is not errors of judgement....it is something in the heart, a waywardness toward God.

It is my contention that the western church has only ever received a terribly backslidden gospel, by the time it got to Europe the church was firmly in the grip of priestcraft....the reformation was only partial as vital as it was.

God is pouring out His Spirit in Pentecostal, apostolic power in other continents of the world. The western church remains backslidden.

Matthew 10:16

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

That is a wonderful truth that I had learned a long time ago.

Still works for me today

Yes.... But...

It's easy tell a wolf from a sheep...but, some wolves have a pretty good disguise. Not all of us have the gift of discernment. And, sometimes we disagree on who is a wolf, and who is a sheep. I think we all need be cautious and "test everything that is said. Hold on to what is good." 1 Thes. 5:21

“For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their deeds” 2 Corinthians 11:13-15.

1.Judas was chosen because he was a devil.
2 Pentecost is a prophetic Jewish festival that has nothing to do with today.
3. The body of Christ can not back slide.
4 Whether or not they see themselves as evil does not matter. Absolutely irrelevant. The law proves their guilt. To believe the gospel is to be humble and admit the need for a savior.

Hope that helps.

2 Pentecost is a prophetic Jewish festival that has nothing to do with today.

The feast of weeks is a feast to the Lord not just a Jewish festival. It is was commanded to Israel not just the Jews. It is a statute forever.

Exodus 23:14 "Three times you shall keep a feast to Me in the year:

Leviticus 23:21 'And you shall proclaim on the same day that it is a holy convocation to you. You shall do no customary work on it. It shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

It is addressed to Israel. Is Paul a member of the Body of Christ or is he part of Israel?

Paul blasphemed the Holy Spirit and lived to tell about it. What do you think?

1 Timothy 1

15 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first. 16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

Paul is the prototype. The first of the kind. He was not the first to have righteousness imputed to him. He had it done while he was an unrepentant enemy.
