Actually I think Scripture says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom although I believe the word translated as fear can also be translated as respect. Am I wrong?

I feel that we each seek according to our needs and for each wisdom has many origins.

It is Jan 5th 2014. This is my 10,000th post. That is probably insignificant but there was a time last year when I wondered if I would ever make this post. Knight was kind enough to send me a private message that caused me to reflect on what is important.

Yeah, she's failed her own standards dramatically and repeatedly. Okay. Established. She didn't seem to be committed to them beyond the necessity of voicing them as a context for criticizing others and then abandoned them when it was more convenient.
I didn't like that either. But it doesn't have to be the last word, does it?
I was disappointed to see her back in the reporting box, but I will remind everyone that she did a solid enough job on keeping her Christmas pledge when many who opine about the trollish, antagonistic method too often the rule around here avoided that pledge like the plague.
And I'd suggest to Eeset that the best way to meet informed, reasonable skepticism founded in her past actions isn't to be combative, but to accept the skepticism as a cross of her own making and to accept it reasonably and in a new spirit.
Or, if you want a different thing you have to invest in making the changes that can end with its possession...it may be that zoo never credits it. It may be that any number of people never come round, but if she wants it she can fashion something different, insist on it by being the change she wants to see, to borrow.
That's where my hope rests, at any rate. And it isn't a hope without reason or evidence now.
Well, I was a little harder on her than that snippet, but the larger point remains. Do we encourage the good or only punish the other that men can and will do among us?
I'm leaning more to the former these days, though I'm fine with taking a present exception to a present offense. That's all I'm really saying. I don't know what's in her heart, but I do know she made an effort she didn't have to and especially if you have a low opinion of her, that couldn't have been easy.
So I remain hopeful.
