Saying "I have been to the border" in response to a reporter who asks why she has not yet been to the border is a lie. Harris has not been seen at the border this year, no matter what she says to the contrary, even if she is just fudging words to try to make it seem she says she has been to the border when she hasn't.
She never said "I have been to the border".

She said "We've been to the border". I have already explained why this way of speaking does not constitute a lie. And you and your buddies, naturally enough, have not been able to critique my explanation as to why what she said was not a lie.

And so, in their predictable fashion, when cornered, they lash out with the insults (to which, I more than happy to reply in kind).

I see. So when Holt asked her "When are you going to the border?" and she responded, "We've been to the border" she was not attempting to avoid the question or to phrase her response in such a way intended to deceive the public into thinking those claiming she has not been to the border are liars?

In the far leftist's mind, the actual physical border is a racist construction. The REAL border lies in the struggle to get white people to recognize their guilt and colonial oppression. THAT is the border to which she was referring.

On a conciliatory note, this is a valid question. I suspect she was indeed trying to avoid the question. But, to be fair, that is not really the same as lying. But I see no reason to think she was trying to cast anyone as a liar.

OK. I will accept the insistence that Bill was not really lying when he said "I have never had sexual relations with that woman." Why is it possible he was not lying? Because he may have been referring to Hillary, not Monica Lewinsky.

And I can accept that Harris did not really lie when she said lots of people have been to the border and she cares about the border and she has also not been to Europe.

Like the reported statement by the Lone Ranger and Tonto when they found themselves surrounded by hostile Indians:

Lone Ranger: "It looks like we are in a tight fix, Tonto."

Tonto: "What you mean "we," white man?"

That's racist!

I believe she never claimed that she had personally been to the border. But, as I have argued, there is no lie here.
Kamala was asked direct questions and she didn't truthfully answer a single one of them. She evaded and dodged. She didn't answer.

So, to you, misleading statements and evasion, which is dishonesty, is not lying. Reaally? Where did you ever learn that misdirection, misleading someone, is not lying? It is because it is dishonesty, and dishonest statements are always lies.

"And I haven't been to Europe," Harris replied. "And, I mean, I don't understand the point that you're making. I'm not discounting the importance of the border."
I've been to paradise...But I've never been to me...

I've been undressed by kings
And I've seen some things that a woman ain't s'posed to see
I've been to paradise but I've never been to me...

I spent my life exploring
The subtle whoring
That costs too much to be free
Hey lady I've been to paradise
But I've never been to me...
I've been to paradise - never been to me
(I've been to Georgia and California, and anywhere I could run)
I've been to paradise - never been to the border
