Nope.

The word has to do with an airplane's ability to fly over the PLAN-ET, and the SHAPE of the plane that allows it to, and so on.

It is the result of a combination of ideas.

By the way, that verse you quoted from Habakkuk 3 in a earlier post - about measuring the Earth - is the issue of measuring the Righteousness of man upon the Earth, and concluding Judgement against him - compare that chapter with Genesis 11.
