Many fans might not have known that North Carolina is 6-1, the same as Pitt.

Well, it looks like NC or Duke is going to win the Coastal Division. It's as if it's basketball.

I once spent an entire day in Chapel Hill. North Carolina University is one of the nicest campuses I have ever been to (I've been to a lot of them).

No good games today.

The only ranked team playing another ranked team is #9 Notre Dame vs. #21 Temple.

Not a very appealing game.

Ohio St, Alabama, Michigan St., LSU, and Baylor don't even play today.

Alabama only has a couple of games left anyway. I don't count the SEC November games that are out of conference. Coming up undefeated Houston will have Temple and Memphis at some point.

Michigan State and Ohio State will play in the regular season. LSU and Ole Miss will play. Everything will get worked out. Even the Big 12 took the high road and made the teams play meaningful games in November as TCU, Baylor, Oklahoma, and Ok State all square off against each other.

edit: speaking of phony late season SEC games, Arkansas has UT Martin. I was just flipping through and saw their "struggle".

If you haven't seen the end of the Miami-Duke game, go see it. It falls into the category of "how did they let that happen". This is nothing like Michigan-Michigan State where Michigan State was coming after the punter.

I saw it as it happened. That was just amazing.

I hear Duke fans complaining about the player running out onto the field before the player hit the endzone. :sigh: I say get over it.

What was Minnesota doing? I tell you what, not paying attention to the clock and the situation. :sigh:

Duke fans? That "play" is a travesty and a sham. First, the runner was clearly down. Just like Stanford-Cal and the band on the field. He is down, play over. The ACC officials and their league is a joke. If they don't vacate the win and the loss then they only have one move and that is fire the crews and the reviewers.

Not to mention the blocks in the back. Former ACC director of officials was on ESPN doing his best to look like an idiot with that "indisputable video evidence" nonsense. He did admit the blcok in the back at the 15 yard line. It is like liberal media, just say whatever they want no matter how wrong. This gets my goat, the dishonesty that goes on with people in so many ways.

I can't figure that one out either. Bad decisions and coaching. 17 seconds for one bad play? I feel bad for those kids. I am all for going for it. I don't think the Minnesota coach knew the clock was even running. Talk about a reason to only be the interim coach.

Temple is better than I thought. Not that I thought they were no good as some in the media claim.

No good games today.

This coming Saturday is good enough I might spring for a Padron and some top shelf whiskey like Knob Creek Single Barrel 120.

LSU-Alabama, here I come.

edit: I just pulled up the schedule knowing FSU and Clemson square off. This week has TCU at Oklahoma State, both undefeated. One has to lose. Notre Dame at Pitt. Hopefully, Pitt can play spoiler and isn't down. Duke at North Carolina. This morning, Duke is 22 and North Carolina is unranked. That will be reversed when the AP poll comes out later today.

Michigan State is at Nebraska. This would normally be bad news for any team, but Nebraska lost to Purdue yesterday. Let that sink in for a moment. Nebraska lost to Purdue. Purdue is 2-6. There are other games of intrigue, just not on a playoff relevant scale. Wyoming and Colorado State are locking horns. Syracuse and Louisville match up. Maybe they will be in basketball uniforms. Arizona is at USC in a PAC 12 game. This game matters for the PAC 12.

The ACC has now officially admitted how wrong everything was. But the main problem still exists. Miami still wrongly gets the win. Why? Reggie Bush had to return his Heisman Trophy. What is the difference?

•The replay official erred in not overturning the ruling on the field that the Miami player had released the ball prior to his knee being down. If called, this would have ended the game.
•The on-field officials erred by failing to penalize Miami for an illegal block in the back at the Miami 16-yard line. If called, the ball would have been placed at the Miami 8-yard line and the game would have been extended for an untimed down.
•A block in the back foul was called at the Duke 26-yard line. After the officials conferred, which is appropriate, they correctly determined that the block was from the side, which resulted in the flag being picked up. The replay official was not involved in the decision to pick up the flag; however, the referee did not effectively manage communication and properly explain why the flag was picked up.

•In addition, the on-field crew failed to penalize a Miami player for leaving the bench area and entering the field prior to the end of the play. This foul would not have negated the touchdown because it would have been enforced as a dead ball foul.

Sorry, not definitive. Just because the ACC says so, doesn't make it so.

Refs miss alot in games. There was no flag for that. Therefore not reviewable by NCAA rules

Um, yes he did. right at the end announcing the game over.

It wouldn't have mattered, game was over whether they called it or not. so why call it when it has no bearing on the outcome at that point?

You realize the italics and bullet points is from the ACC, right?

Either you are really dumb or really dishonest. You can't possibly think that he isn't down. Maybe I missed your point.

Georgia fans ready to throw out Mark Richt.

And replace him with whom? Saint Louis sports radio was talking about college football today instead of who the Cardinals 4th pitcher should be on every third rotation. Georgia came up as a better destination than Alabama. The claim is Alabama is winning now because Saban is the best coach. I disagree. He is a really good coach, but others have done what he cannot do.

The point about Atlanta and what a massive metro area rich in football talent is correct. I agree. There are a bunch of coaches out right now, fired, quit and medical. I realize their angst, but who will they get? Matt Rhule of Temple? Temple, Memphis, and Houston are undefeated. Only one will remain and I think that is Houston. Their coach is Tom Herman, a former Urban Meyer assistant. I think if USC comes calling, that is where Herman goes.

I am going to retweet something for the third time ever. Only because it is so good.

Daniel Tosh

maybe if alabama loses 3 games this season they won’t make the playoffs. the committee clearly factored in strength of hype.

He is a foul mouthed jerk, so don't be surprised if you scroll down and see a bunch of vulgar language.

Alabama 4th? This committee hates the Big 12. Sheesh.
I expect Alabama to beat LSU this weekend. Then you can probably move them into the top 4. But now? Nope. Luckily these rankings don't mean anything because there's lots of games left to play. :box:
