I'd hope my friends agree.
Are you responsible for drunk driving fatalities, chrys, or are you for prohibition?
Do you only vote for candidates who believe in prohibition?
Do you consider anyone who isn't willing to do that responsible for drunk driving?
Now if one party or the other put a plank in about being against legalized drinking, would that matter more to you than the sum of other considerations, even if you understood it would take a Constitutional Amendment to enact prohibition and that the popular will wasn't there for it?
No, people are and some of them are democrats. And some aren't. There are pro-life democrats and pro-choice republicans. You've seen the numbers.
The rest is rhetoric and settled law, absent that Constitutional Amendment that doesn't have legs among nearly enough people at present.
You Libs should take comfort knowing there is no way prohibition will ever be put in place again as long as Brett Kavanaugh is on the bench of the SCOTUS.
