I believe that this is an analogy. The bribe of the Lamb is a city.
The body of Christ was something NEW and was not known before God revealed it to Paul.
The twelve were told to expect things on the earth, the body of Christ has a place in the heavenlies and NOT on earth.
It plain and simple in the scripture, but tons of people just want smash it all together.

So, the Bible says prepared and adorned AS a bride for her husband. does that mean "like" a bride or similar to a bride ?
