How would Aliens threaten our freedom?
It wasn't a serious comment, but if they did actually come for a visit then they could probably wipe humans out. They'd have tech that we couldn't imagine
Why do you think that?
Because they had the technology to come to Earth from a very long way away, and that's something that is so far beyond our current technology that we'd likely stand no chance. Think of when the New World was colonized by Europeans and the Native Americans were awed by guns and couldn't do much to fight them. That's just a technology difference of a thousand years or less. Aliens that could come here would be technologically beyond us by at least that much time. Our only chance would be to hope that our planet's germs would overload their immune systems, much like the Native Americans were wiped out largely by European diseases. Perhaps specialized chemical warfare would be effective, but no ballistic weaponry that we possess could likely harm any alien craft
