Now the king and his men went to Jerusalem against the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the land, and they said to David, “You shall not come in here, but the blind and lame will turn you away”; thinking, “David cannot enter here.” Nevertheless, David captured the stronghold of ZION, that is the CITY of DAVID. David said on that day, “Whoever would strike the Jebusites, let him reach the lame and the blind, who are hated by David’s soul, through the WATER TUNNEL.” Therefore they say, “The blind or the lame shall not come into the house.” So David lived in the stronghold and called it the CITY of DAVID. And David built all around from the Millo/Ophel and inward[bayith] - 2 Samuel 5:6-9

And as the Ark of YHWH came into the City of David, Michal Saul's daughter looked through a window, and saw king David leaping and dancing before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. And they brought in the Ark of the LORD, and set it in his place, in the midst of the Tabernacle that David had pitched for it: and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before YHWH. And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in The Name of the LORD of hosts. - 2 Samuel 6:16-18

So Zadok the priest, and Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites, and the Pelethites, went down, and caused Solomon to ride upon king David's mule, and brought him to Gihon Spring. And Zadok the priest took an horn of oil out of the Tabernacle, and anointed Solomon. And they blew the trumpet; and all the people said, God save king Solomon. - 1 Kings 1:38-39

That was the Tabernacle, not the Temple. Do you not know the difference?

And when Hezekiah saw that Sennacherib was come, and that he was purposed to fight against Jerusalem, He took counsel with his princes and his mighty men to stop the waters of the fountains which were without the City: and they did help him. So there was gathered much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water?
Also he strengthened himself, and built up all the wall that was broken, and raised it up to the towers, and another wall without [protecting the WATER], and repaired Millo [Ophel] in the City of David, and made arrows and shields in abundance.
- 2 Chronicles 32:2-5

We can read elsewhere that the 185,000 Assyrian warriors were not able to encamp outside Jerusalem because WATER had been denied them. Abundant water was available throughout the Kidron Valley, but was protected by Hezekiah. There is no mention of "aqueducts" coming from the nearest optional source of WATER, which was to the WEST in Bethlehem. Millo/Ophel is to the north of the City of David.

And David and all Israel went to Jerusalem, which is Jebus; where the Jebusites were, the inhabitants of the land. And the inhabitants of Jebus said to David, Thou shalt not come hither. Nevertheless David took the Fortification of Zion, which is the City of David. And David said, Whosoever smiteth the Jebusites first shall be chief and captain. So Joab the son of Zeruiah went first up, and was chief. And David dwelt in the Fortification; therefore they called it the City of David. And he built the city round about, even from Millo [Ophel] round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city. - 1 Chronicles 11:4-8

For the LORD has built up ZION
He has appeared in His glory.
- Psalm 102:16

The Holy Spirit does not "inspire" clues for your theories.

Did you receive that bit of insight from the Holy Spirit?
If so, then there is a problem: I haven't put forth any THEORIES, just scripture quotes.
Which leaves the obvious conclusion that you are receiving "insight" from an evil spirit.
And this spirit is telling you, in effect, that the H.S. inspired scriptures posted are worthless.

The title of your thread: Biblical Clues to TEMPLE Location in the City of David.

Then you quoted Scripts about the Tabernacle, which is not the Temple.

Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. - 2 Chronicles 5:2

"up" where?

He who answers a matter before he hears it,
It is folly and shame to him.
- Proverbs 18:13

The trail of (scriptural) "bird-seed" to follow hasn't been completely laid-out for you yet....

So David dwelt in the fort, and called it the city of David. And David built round about from Millo [aka: Ophel] and within. - 2 Samuel 5:9
And this is the reason of the TAX which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo [Ophel], and the wall of Jerusalem - 1 Kings 9:15
Solomon built Millo [Ophel], and repaired the breaches of the city of David his father. - 1 Kings 11:27b
And David built the city round about, even from Millo [Ophel] round about: and Joab repaired the rest of the city. - 1 Chronicles 11:8

Millo [aka: Ophel] had been the Jebusite unoccupied fill-site, and laid north of the City of David, between the City of David and Mt. Moriah.
