Yet it is a fanatical religion and they are forced by law to participate.
It is fanatical as people make it out to be. Medieval European Christianity was fanatical. Modern Christianity is mostly moderate. Most Muslims are not fanatics, despite your judgement of their religion.
And required by what law to participate? ISIS law? Saudi law? USA law?

It is. My point is that religions can be interpreted and practiced different ways. The fanatical Christianity of 800 years doe snot mean that Christianity is by definition fanatic. And the fact that fanatic Islam is common today doesn't mean that Islam is by definition fanatic.

Yep. Whether or not one agrees with Rome's reasons for the multiple Crusades, they were a response to Mohammedan conquests.
Chair cares about generalization and bigotry. He knows what that leads to.
Chair has most likely suffered far more from extremist Islam than anybody else on this forum, yet doesn't let that push him into bigotry and hate.

The priest wasn’t hosting a Muhammad cartoon contest. He hadn’t “provoked” Muslims or “poked them in the eye.” He was simply a Christian cleric carrying out his duties. John Rene Rockschiil, apparently a convert to Islam, seems to have found that insulting enough. Christians whose sense of charity moves them to want to avoid insulting Muslims at all costs should renounce Christianity and convert to Islam immediately.
