Please explain what a heart circumcision means. It sounds weird. The Holy Spirit circumcises our hearts. Physical circumcision is mutilation of the flesh for Jews and Gentiles.

To slice and dice it -Please explain what a heart circumcision means. It sounds weird.

Mat 4:17**From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.Paul preached what John the baptizer taught...and what Jesus Christ himself taught.
yes it is differentIs that any different in its message from the gospel we now preach?
yes it is different
something about Jesus,
his death and resurrection
The reason the expression is used is to take a graphic concept and say something about cleaning the human heart. In that culture, there were diseases and hygienic problems when there was no circumcision.
How's about doing what you claim - study the Scripture on this issue and then simply post the passages that make clear what the expression is a reference to.
You may be impressed with your having run to one of your endless books "about" - but I know I am not impressed.
Not by your ever the seemingly easy route to an answer - outside the Scripture.
It is time you admit your so called understanding is not based on actual time in Scripture absent of your obviously ever present endless books supposedly "about" Scripture.
You...are...a fraud...

Yes . . circumcision of the heart (repentance) is the spiritual cutting away of diseased (sinful) flesh that only cripples the heart and brings death.
Just as circumcision was emblematic of Jews producing a pure lineage, so Christian circumcision of heart (repentance) is emblematic of sanctified and purified motives of faith and trust in believing and confessing/living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The burden of PROOF is on you. Thanks.Prove it.
Another books based parrot...
You're a broken record. Vitamin K peaked on day 8 so they would be circ'd on that day and not have the diseases of the neighboring nations. Remember the famous line "None of these diseases will strike you..."?
What a crock your posts are, day in and day out.
And you agreed not to make comments at the person. You guys slam the person, and then when the Gospel is validated for both Jew and Gentile, you claim people are "against Jews." Can you even ride a tricycle?
You don't see that yours is books based "wisdom" - you don't see (perceive; discern) that; do you?
Your over reliance on your endless books, read by you INTO the Scripture has made you not only wise in your own conceit, but blind to its' fact.
Yours is the very UNcircumcision of the heart (mind) being referred to.
Your self-imposed vail is that thick.
Forty plus years and several trailor truckloads of men parroting one another in their endless books based self-importance.
We are still waiting for you to exegete the passages of Scripture themselves.
Go ahead; show us your magic touch is actually your own skilled labor.
Post the passages and the principles for exegeting them.
On one simple subject: on the question asked by Eeset.
Shut up this Mad or shut up yourself.
That is what is expected of you from this Bible student.
If you want to impress through your books based nonsense, you are attempting to do so to the wrong individual.
Acts 17:1 Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, 17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ.
17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. 17:12 Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.
There is the pattern.

Nehemiah 8:8 So they read in the book in the law of God distinctly, and gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.
You up for that yet; blowhard?
We're not talking the endless books of men. We're talking the Lord's Book.
You know Him; don't you?
Hebrews 5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing. 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Put up, or shut up.
Wrong, as per usual:There is only one mystery.
