no, Christians are increasingly being told to shut up about their faith, when in public

People who cry over 'In God We Trust' on currency should ever utter the word 'oppression', especially to those whom they marred the livelihoods of on much the same dumb thing

Taking down portraits of Jesus in public places. They're so detrimental to unbeliever's mental health- like those Jews in Jerusalem who are under constant threat of attack, yet seeing Islamic Crescents everyday on their way to work.

:rotfl:
I wonder how atheists even take themselves seriously..

"Special privileges" which have never existed.

Sure they have. You even touch on one such case.

Let's look at the bogus case filed against that school with the portrait: the ACLU filed a suit claiming that the picture causes 'irreparable damage to the mental health of people'.

Why do you think Christians should be able to put up portraits of their religious figures in government spaces? Are you willing to allow the same access for Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Pagans, and followers of other non-Christian religions?

Let's talk about that bar owner whose location became ransacked by transsexuals and, because of it, people assumed it was an alternative bar and he was losing business. Upon telling them not to be there so often, he was sued by each one of them, and then bankrupted and shut down by the Department of Labor.
He wasn't a Christian, or had a problem with LGBT. I guess he was just too specially privileged :plain:

So if he wasn't a Christian, what does that have to do with your claim of Christians being persecuted?

None of your rights have ever been transgressed

Do you think kids have a right to attend public school without the government using their attendance as an opportunity to promote one religion over others?

and just want to attack others out of pure old envy and bias.

Nah, just leveling the field. And in case you haven't noticed, we're winning. :)

yeah, about that

congratulations on "winning", retard

i'd explain what you've "won" but you wouldn't understand

adultery
divorce
single mothers
children having children
pornography
abortion

but you prolly see all these as "winning"

Well, atheists don't have a religion, so why is it that, unlike Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, and Pagans that it's YOU all that are so concerned about it?

It's not about such fairness, it's about atheist's inner desire to attack Christianity. There was a Muslim bakery who denied gays.. but you didn't hear about that, did you? Wonder why...

So if he wasn't a Christian, what does that have to do with your claim of Christians being persecuted?

When did I claim Christians were being persecuted? I stated that Christians are under attack. And now that you bring that up, it's not just them being attacked either.

Atheists and the LGBT are two sides of the same coin. It is all one agenda.

Do you think kids have a right to attend public school without the government using their attendance as an opportunity to promote one religion over others?

I think as long as a school isn't forcing it upon others, then there is nothing being violated. Voluntary service is exactly that- voluntary. And that is something you all have utterly turned into something else.

Nah, just leveling the field. And in case you haven't noticed, we're winning. :)

No you're not, you just had a President who let you get away with a bunch of nonsense for a greater part of a decade.

Christians are already on the move. If you pay attention, you'll see quite clearly especially among the evangelicals.

You must admit, it didn't really cost taxpayers anything that they were not already going to pay.

So why not just use that time to have a cake and ice cream party? Bring in a dunk tank? Hire face painters?

After all, if they're paying the same anyways what does it matter?

What legislation would improve their education?

Ah, I see. No one is allowed to point out that a legislative body has wasted time passing redundant, unnecessary legislation unless they write up and submit their own alternative legislation.

Sure dude.

You didn't answer the question. Are you willing to allow followers of non-Christian religions to put up portraits of their religious figures in public schools?

Do you have a link?

When did I claim Christians were being persecuted? I stated that Christians are under attack.

Ok, so what does a non-Christian bar owner have to do with Christians being attacked?

Atheists and the LGBT are two sides of the same coin. It is all one agenda.

To do what?

I think as long as a school isn't forcing it upon others, then there is nothing being violated.

So you would be just fine with public school students walking into schools and seeing portraits of the Buddha, or Islamic Mullahs, right?

Voluntary service is exactly that- voluntary. And that is something you all have utterly turned into something else.

What are you talking about?

No you're not, you just had a President who let you get away with a bunch of nonsense for a greater part of a decade.

Um...no, we're winning in the courts and in the bigger picture as well. Don't know if you noticed, but Christianity in the US is in serious decline, especially among young people. In some states the non-religious constitute a plurality.

Christians are already on the move. If you pay attention, you'll see quite clearly especially among the evangelicals.

Then what are you complaining about? If you think you're winning, why do you need superfluous bills like this "Pastor Protection Act"?

Because they are not paid to do these things. They are paid to legislate, which is exactly what they did.

Ah, I see. No one is allowed to point out that a legislative body has wasted time passing redundant, unnecessary legislation unless they write up and submit their own alternative legislation.

Sure dude.

Not what I said at all but imagine you're in the Georgia House. What else should they be doing instead of unanimously passing a law?

So "paid to legislate" means "paid to pass any legislation they can think of, no matter how pointless"?

I'm not clear on something....are you supportive of this bill? Do you think it's a good use of the Georgia House's time, and that they really didn't have anything better to do?

apparently they didn't share your view of whether or not it was "pointless" :idunno:

feel free to vote them out of office next time you vote in georgia

I have trouble assuming it is pointless when it passed unanimously.

Link to the bill

I'd like to read it before jumping to judgement. Have you already read it?
