Well, I'm thinking about it as a "right" as used in this example of rape. Does a woman have a right to say no to her husband? What gives her that "right", if not her free will? Our ability to choose to resist or not is something that God created us with.

Yes, and God created us with that right. Had He not, we'd all be puppets. It's clearly a legal entitlement that God has extended to mankind. That's what "choice" is all about.

Of course He does. It's called free will.

Haha good one. But I was referring to her "right".

Who is the "Deep State / Swamp"? Name names!

That has got to be the most asinine comment to ever flow across this board. We're so much stronger. 😅 😂🤣

God could, or more likely, He'd tell Adam how to treat his wife so that she would willingly offer herself. This is so simple, but it does require a tad bit of common sense.

And, let's face it. The husband is supposed to woo his wife....that's part of the natural law. Even animals know this.

The use of the word "shocked" was applied quite loosely in this case. I seem to remember such tomfoolery when I was here before. I should have said "surprising" because any believer in the gospel of grace would not so happily leap back into law keeping. Paul said those who preached such...

Alright men, you're to nourish and cherish your wife the way you do your own body. Do you like the idea of being raped YOURSELF? Eph. 5 28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth...

Well, I'm quite sure the Holy Spirit sees the horror of what's going on when a man forces his wife....against her will...to have sex. I can assure you it would griever Him. And, that man should be expecting some severe chastening from God. Other than that....your post makes no sense whatsoever.

Gotta love these preachers of the law. No, Doser, you're dead wrong on this one. In fact, I'm shocked to see such evil being perpetrated on this board.

Am I actually reading here that men own their wives and have a right to rape them if they don't consent to sex? What a total CROCK. How about we use our brains? Can you force someone to love you? Does God force us to love Him? Does God force us to have faith in Him? This is a totally...

I don't believe their moral compass is telling them it's fine. They know it's wrong, but do it anyway.
