    On the omniscience of God

What are you talking about? Jesus was not the Father, He was sent by the Father! John 3:13; 3:17; 7:3, Galatians 4:4, I Corinthians 8:6; 11:3, I John 4:9, Revelation 3:14 John 16: 26 In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; 27 for...

    Battle Royale XIV discussion thread

I agree. The truth is done no favors when it is argued poorly. A skilled debater could flip an argument from silence fallacy against someone who uses it because if you are arguing that silence is something other than silence then why do you get to declare what the silence means? Why couldn't...

    On the omniscience of God

Battle Royales usually have time constraints that require a commitment that I cannot make. A One on One perhaps but a full blown Battle Royale is probably not in the cards. Not that he would agree to do either one.

Judge Rightly is more than capable of responding here and I look forward to his own response but I just cannot resist posting a response of my own here... Starting point for what, man? I think his name was Adam. Ever heard of him? Well, like JR said, this is called moving the goal post. Your...

    On the omniscience of God

Word's right out of the mouth of the likes of David Koresh, Benny Hinn, and Yahweh Ben Yahweh. If you don't need to proof text then stop doing it. Lon, if you lie to me again, I will simply put you on ignore and you can go tell all your make-believe friends that "give you a hard time" that...

    On the omniscience of God

I love it when people claim that I am "wrong on so much" but will not present one single solitary refutation of any argument I have ever presented on any subject on this website over the last twenty years. But, you're not alone, Lon! The most important, most fundamental, difference between...

    Huge UFO news!

I'm not so sure that any of them exist. Some might be sensor echo anomolies and "exist" in that sense but most are outright hoaxes.

    Huge UFO news!

Has anyone else noticed that in spite of the military claiming to have regular contact with unidentified flying objects and in spite of all the high resolution digital photography tech that exists and in spite of the military's ability to drive a missile up an enemy's left nostril from thousands...

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

Do you simply reject every aspect of God's use of symbols and types? Do you think it was random or by accident that the Jews were killing the Lamb of God on the very day that they were killing their Passover lambs? I mean how much more liturgical could not only the death but also the burial...

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

I wonder whether I should hold my breath in wait for someone to present any real evidence that transubstantiation actually happens? No. I think I won't be doing that.

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

Yes, Mark 16! That's what I get for doing these posts in a rush. There can be no argument on this point. The prohibition against the consumption of blood is clear, as you have just shown. If you think that the bible condones the consumption of human blood (i.e. cannibalism) because of Leviticus...

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

Excellent point! They take these passages in a woodenly literal manner but you don't see the same people taking John 16 quite a literally and doing things like handling snake and drinking strychnine. Actually, the bible expressly forbids the drinking of blood (Genesis 9:2-4; Leviticus 17:14), a...

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

Yeah, well that may be taking a bit too far. There are lots of Christians who believe wacky things but who still love God and trust in Christ's shed blood as the payment for their sin and that God raised Him from the dead. In other words, believing this one wacky doctrine does not absolutely...

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

They go way further than that! They believe that the bread and wine physically become the actual flesh and blood of the glorified Christ! The belief is called transubstantiation and it's superstitious nonsense that the bible does not teach and that does not happen.

Protestantism was falsified here on TOL

You are delusional! Not to mention irrational, or didn't you think I'd notice the little "guilt by association" fallacy you threw into your comment. Do you believe that sky is blue? If so, that's the same view as all atheists. Does that imply you're wrong about the color of the sky? It's just...

    Does light have a tail?

Why rotate a laser? Why not simply have two lasers, each pointing at their respective satellites and fire the one with the further target .000013342 seconds before the other? Actually, there is a really good reason why you wouldn't do that.... The reason is because it wouldn't matter. Either...

That is precisely correct! All such passages that discuss God not changing are in reference to His character.

    Our Moral God

That's good. The problem is that it flows quite logically from Calvin's premise. That premise being that God is immutable. You quite literally cannot have the one without the other. In other words, if humans have free will then God is not immutable.
