Who are these "central bankers"? Are the Chinese in debt to the same people as the US? Why did they come up with this virus scam now, and not 10 or 20 years ago? How did they fool so many health professionals? And how did they kill my friend's uncle?

He's in Taiwan, which had the toughest and fastest response to the virus in the world. He doesn't see the epidemic there, since they have a handful of cases and track very carefully. People have a hard time relating to information that comes from impersonal sources. You can brush off reports...

I think this is the crux of the matter- why people here think so differently than I do about many issues. I don't want to skew their responses by giving my own.

I like to think positively about people, so I'll assume you understand this, and are merely saying dumb things to tease me.

No, I don't propose having lockdowns forever. Lockdowns have a heavy cost, both economically and in terms of lives lost in other ways. We, as societies, live with infectious diseases, up to a point. Nobody is suggesting lockdowns forever.
