The restrictions will gradually be lifted once enough people are vaccinated. There is still concern about the different variants, so it needs to be done slowly. Here (Israel) restrictions are already being gradually loosened.

There was a world leader who pushed for faster approval of vaccines, and claimed that scientists were slowing down approval in order to hurt him politically. Does anybody recall who that was?

Interesting theory, but unproven. Considering that the incidence of blood clots is very low, and no different than what is normally seen in a population, there is no reason to stop using the vaccine. If you are still nervous- try to get one of the other vaccines.

Yes- the fake news has caused real damage in the case of AZ. People will get sick and die as a result of this. We have over 70% of everybody over 20 vaccinated now, and higher percentages for older people. There are focused efforts being made to reach hesitant communities, which are paying off...
