What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

If we can eventually achieve righteousness through our own efforts, why did Jesus Christ have to die?

What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

That's right! As I said to him in that same post... "You instinctively bring the bible into it because you desire for your beliefs to have the Bible's credibility. A thief in an expensive suit is still a thief." He wants to have the credibility that adherence to the bible offers without...

    On the omniscience of God

I see. I was misreading it. I don't even know what the term "future knowledge" would mean. Outside the context of the doctrine of foreknowledge. Within that context, it seems "future knowledge" would be effectively synonymous with "foreknowledge" in which case, why bother using it? Outside that...

What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

Seems to me like he definitely implied that he does not believe that Jesus is God and merely believes that his existence prior to being Jesus was just his previous "reincarnation". He clearly is not a Christian. I don't have any idea why he cares to make it look like he is one.

    On the omniscience of God

No. 'God knowing what He knows' is a tautology. I don't see any need to preserve the sentence at all. Just drop it. God's knowledge differs from ours primarily in its scope, accuracy and the intelligence with which He processes information, rather than in the fundamental nature of knowing...

Genesis 18:20 And the Lord said, “Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grave, 21 I will go down now and see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry against it that has come to Me; and if not, I will know.”

The continued policing problem in America.

So, I'd love to know how hard it would have been for one of these cops to simply watch the video that the car had recorded at the scene. The car video is so definitive that no reasonable person would even argue about it. The fact that it took two years to resolve it, that's what really...

What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

Billions of people believe in Astrology. Billions of people believe in ghosts. Billions of people believe in lucky charms. Billions of people are Atheists. Billions of people are Catholic. Billions of people are fill in the blank. Billions of people understand your statement to be a...

What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

What you need to be taught is that some "people" are correct and some are not and how to tell which are which.

    On the omniscience of God

He admits to "extrapolating" his doctrine from (i.e. reading his doctrine into) the text of Revelation and then accuses you of "taking away from Revelation" as if his "extrapolation" is the scripture itself! Classic!

What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

Certain people (i.e. people of average or higher intelligence, who aren't and don't get high) fight against it (the idea of reincarnation) because it's obvious stupidity.

What Is Morality, and is it Absolute?

It sort of bugs me that Christians so commonly define morality in this manner. I say, "sort of" because it's one of those things that they are say that is neither quite correct nor incorrect. As stated and as the words, "Morality is absolute, because it is based in God's righteous character."...

    On the omniscience of God

It's interesting (well, to me it's interesting) that all of the people who aren't exceptions, almost certainly think that they are exceptions. That means, taking the group as a whole, if you're one who "knows that you're an exception", the likelihood is that you aren't one. Then the same...

I was, of course, speaking in very general terms. The exceptions all know who they are.

As predicted. What must it be like to be so totally blind? I'm bored. I don't have time to be bored. The only fruit this could bear is proving that you still belong on my ignore list. That fruit is now fully ripe.

This begs the question. Is there anyone on this website that knows how to think clearly? Could you maybe try to answer my questions with answers that cannot be responded to with the exact same question?

    On the omniscience of God

Yes, that's part of how I know he'll never move an inch off his stupidity, no matter who says what to him. The bible doesn't matter, simple reason doesn't matter, nothing matters to him but his belief. He doesn't even believe what he believes for any reason he can articulate. If reason doesn't...

    On the omniscience of God

Of course it doesn't. I'm not stupid like most of the morons on this website. I can prove it. And, by the way, I mean PROVE, as in establish it as factual. I do not mean that I can make a sort of nice sounding semantic statement that makes it go down smoothly. I mean that I can prove it. Do...
