Turn off your social media! It's rotting your brain!Donald Trump and the Deconstruction of America
It's an everything-everywhere-all-at-once strategy to reshape America to the fancy of an autocrat and far-right advocates who crave blowing up the foundations of America they regard as liberal, woke, or otherwise at odds with their MAGA theology. And it entails amassing political clout unlike a president has ever done, with Trump illegally assuming powers he doesn’t possess (such as to impose tariffs and deport people without due process) and trying to rig the system (see the latest gerrymandering by Texas Republicans).
US citizen, 67, ‘has ribs broken’ by Border Patrol agents after being dragged out of car while driving home into street they’d blocked off
Shocking video shows a chaotic scene on a quiet Chicago street as Border Patrol agents in tactical gear drag a 67-year-old man from his car while children in Halloween costumes look on in horror.According to his running club, the man, who is a U.S. citizen, was returning from a team run when agents pulled him out of his vehicle, tackled him to the ground and kneeled on top of him, allegedly breaking six ribs and causing internal bleeding. The incident unfolded Saturday in the city’s Old Irving Park neighborhood, where residents say the agents disrupted a children’s Halloween parade amid an immigration enforcement operation. In a statement shared on Instagram, the Chicago-based DWRunning clubidentified the victim as one of their athletes, although it did not name him.“One of our athletes was on his way home from a team long run yesterday and as he turned onto his block, found that Border Control had the road blocked,” the club wrote.“The agents threatened to break his window if he didn’t move his car. Before he could act, they pulled him out of his car, knelt on his back, and subdued him, though he never resisted. They broke six of his ribs and caused internal bleeding.”The club condemned the incident, saying: “This really is happening in our country with frightening frequency. It’s terrifying and it has to stop. We must keep sharing these stories, calling out these injustices and standing up for those who can’t stand up for themselves.”
What happened to going after "the worst of the worst?" They don't even pretend they're not Brownshirts now.
Pentagon readying thousands of Guard ‘reaction forces’ as U.S. mission widens
Trump has mobilized thousands of National Guard members in D.C., Los Angeles and Memphis, with deployments to Chicago and Portland, Oregon, delayed by court decisions. He has claimed unfettered authority to deploy military personnel onto American soil, including active duty troops, which by law are prohibited from performing law enforcement duties except in extreme cases or if the president invokes the Insurrection Act. . . .
Trump later built on his comments, telling reporters: “The courts wouldn’t get involved. Nobody would get involved. And I could send the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines. I could send anybody I wanted.” . . . .
While the courts have at times contested Trump’s domestic military deployments, Congress has abdicated its overnight responsibility, Schake said, prompting larger concerns of institutional decay.“They’re behaving like a parliament, not like a presidential system,” she said. “And it’s going to break the American order, our constitutional order, if Congress and governors can’t check executive power.”
Who or where is the executive authority of government? Where is it vested?Donald Trump and the Deconstruction of America

Who or where is the executive authority of government? Where is it vested?
There is no such thing as an independent agency in the executive branch. If they are not legislators elected, or judges appointed, they answer to and work for the President. It has always been this way.The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America.
Good. It's time we finally get some semblance of order back in our country.
Trump should ignore the courts. Our cities are overrun with criminals and illegals, turning them into cesspits.
Ignore the courts? That's not very constitutional.
Specific examples, please. As if your side has cared about being constitutional for the last 50 years...
You have no legs to stand on with that argument.

This indicates you don't have a problem with Trump making extra-judicial, extra-constitutional actions. Is that an accurate assessment?
You REALLY do need to turn off Instagram and Facebook! Sheesh! This indicates you don't have a problem with Trump making extra-judicial, extra-constitutional actions. Is that an accurate assessment?
Turn off your social media! It's rotting your brain!
You REALLY do need to turn off Instagram and Facebook! Sheesh!
What are you going to do when nothing you fear about Trump comes to pass?
Your side has defended:
• Judicial creation of rights (Roe) — SCOTUS invented a right not found in the Constitution
• Nullifying federal law (sanctuary cities) — jurisdictions openly refuse to enforce immigration law
• Presidents bypassing Congress (Libya, DACA) — both were done without Congressional authorization
• Presidents ignoring SCOTUS (Biden student loans) — SCOTUS said “no authority” and Biden announced he’d do it anyway
Your side has no standing to suddenly pretend to care about “constitutional process.”
Your side hasn’t cared about constitutional restraint in decades.
We’re done pretending otherwise.
You don’t get to suddenly demand standards you never applied to yourselves.
