  • You're a joy, as always. I'm not sure why you took the initative to befriend me when I joined, but I appreciate the shining light of Jesus Christ in you that never seems to dim. :)
It's from a void of knowledge of the ontological Gospel. There's no extant land promise for a boundaried parcel of earthly real estate. The resurrected, glorified, and ascended prosopon of Christ IS the Promised Land. His human flesh was of the dust of the ground, and that's the robe He gives us in exchange for having taken ours. Jesus Christ is Israel; not the nationality or the Church. But both are Israel when any, by faith, put on the prosopon of Christ. There's no Jew nor Greek in Christ, so there aren't two covenants. And that means we're in the kingdom now, awaiting only His glorious bodily second coming. No rapture, no post-rapture millennial reign, no "third" coming. Just the Second Advent and then the new heavens and new earth.
Hi FellowServant, I saw your rep comment. The reason Dispensationalism has a pre-trib rapture is because the originators of that doctrine in the 1800s were influenced by non-Christian factors and were introducing a Futurist dogma of separating an ethnic Israel from the Church by dual covenants. The reason for the alleged rapture is to remove the plan-B Church for God to focus on His plan-A chosen people who rejected Messiah. God doesn't have a plan-A and plan-B. God provided the atoning work of His Logos made flesh so the Son could make covenant with Israel as Messiah. We as the Gentile wild branch are grafted into the natural branch by the same faith.
I've never lost anything worth having and half of what I've thrown away is on the mantels of others.
