Went with an antibiotic spread and he's rebounding nicely, though we'll be hospitalized through at least part of tomorrow. I'm back for a moment to feed animals and take a quick nap after spending a few hours sleeping in a chair last night and little sleeping at all the night before. I'm hoping we're home before Monday at any rate.

He tickles me when he complains about my usage while appearing to struggle a bit to make his own as dense (either) as possible. Sometimes his posts read like someone using a thesaurus and choosing contextually challenged, tertiary definitions for the sake of making an impression...and his refusal to cite source material confirms, to my mind, that he's just butchering Edward Hall's anthropological work. :idunno:

Re: goes without saying...yeah, it does, but sometimes. A friend of ours told me he was literally quoting half a conversation I had with Knight three years ago to take a shot the other day. lain:

My "style" is my own. If I was someone else I wouldn't be me.

I can only see him in the woodshed or reflected posts these days. Had to chuckle to see him continue to pout about Quixote's...almost took him off once, but then I thought, you had a great last word that sealed things and there's literally no upside to speaking with him again or reading most of what he posts.

At this point its' a toss up between sad and funny the way I see him jumping to post after me, though he has to know I can't read it. Life is good and forum life is so much better this way. :cheers:

Let him argue and settle among similar minds then and much happiness to the lot of them. Hope you're fairing well. The boards have too much thunder and too little humor and reason on them lately. We've lost a few people over the transformation of everything into the Back Alley, I think.

Beats me. To the admins' credit they put him on the bench twice in relatively short order for the pedophile and inbred remarks.

Ignore is working for me. I'm enjoying the place a lot more, though I'm still not as active. Res' stalking obsession is fairly obvious, even to those who don't like me, like ACW, who recently made a joke about it. My guess is that Knight recognizes the value of a few pot stirrers and Res does a good job of saluting certain flags that are valued here. That and aside from following me around, which is only really making my point, he's kept enough within the lines that it's in the "what do you do?" category. And, again, when he stepped beyond that he was given bench time.

Not a problem. It's not a huge deal, but I really, really enjoy seeing the place holder instead of his usual hate filled sadness. Eeset had a habit of quoting his insults, I suspect to get them back on my radar, so I put her on ignore as well. It's very much more pleasant around here since. I did think his "lobbying the mods" was funny. I sent Delmar a personal request to review it (and did so publicly, not by PM) because he knows the efforts I've been making and I trust him to act where some might hesitate, if he agrees.

Thanks, elsewhere, but do me a small favor and when you quote Res in a thread of mine delete his juvenile insult from it if you would. I have him on ignore so I no longer have to read that sort of horsefeathers and it makes it easier to curb my impulse to respond to defamation. Else, thanks again. :cheers:

Glad that you enjoyed the Bonhoeffer excerpt. He was a fascinating thinker and holy man. You might enjoy his book "Cost of Discipleship" if you have not read it, it is a theological masterpiece.
