Cops are trained and expected to be suspicious. It is literally what they are getting paid to do. I didn't watch the entire video but that first driver (if there was more than one) went to jail because he was dumb and talked way too much.

If not giving the officer anything to use against him was the stance he wanted to take, he should have BEGAN the interaction by asserting his right to remain silent and then refused to answer any questions without the presence of his attorney.
