The second death is mentioned four times in the Apocalypse and nowhere else in the bible. The meaning should be obvious. If the first death is the death of the body, then the second one should be the death of the soul. We should only fear Him who can "kill the soul" which is mentioned only once in the bible.
Why doesn't anyone talk about this?
I can only speculate about that.

In case anyone is paying any attention at all the chrysostom's nonsense. This doctrine of his undermines the veracity of the scripture to such a degree that it would probably get him kicked out of the Catholic church if anyone important discovered that he was here promulgating something as wildly unorthodox as the notion that the Apocalypse originally was written by John the Baptist and was later altered multiple times to eventually include Jesus and the seven churches.

I mean, WOW! That isn't just a little bit outside the pale of orthodoxy, that's borderline Gnosticism!
