You're not the Party who protects kids, Dems

If I have not said so on this thread ... the Democratic Party is a great disappointment for me. They do not protect kids and if they say that are champions of caring for kids they once again are being hypocrites. I just personally perceive that are willingly headed down a road the rejects God ... and it saddens me that I know some who profess to be followers of our Creator and Lord. In its current state I could never vote for a Democratic Party agenda. I pray for the Republican Party and Christian Conservative movement. Yet, God hasn't kept us in the dark as to how he knows things will turn out due to man's gift of freewill.

No he didn't. Other than directing your eyes to what you missed. Defend your position.
I wrote this reply for Nick M ... Somehow I sent it to Idolator! Sigh Sorry.
Here I defend my position for saying God has taught me things.

My living God has given me dreams visions and warnings with a still small voice. When they came true I knew it was from him through the spirit in me. These experiences also taught me things about life and scripture. Now, they are personal things so you, most likely, won't accept them and will write them off to chance or some demon or what ever but, succinctly, I will share just a few.

I had one as a child and then as an adult it began with this: My God and Lord gave me four dreams. I won't describe them - too much time - but I dreamed all four before they started coming true and then they came true in the order I dreamed them. They came like: out of no where and I did not really think much of them until the last one was fulfilled, then I knew they were a "God-thing!"

Since then I've had other experiences. He said one word, "Wreck." I listened because of other experiences and decided he wanted me to be careful as I drove home; so, I did. Right at my neighborhood and home - "Wham!" Lady behind me, talking on her phone and speeding hit me from behind. Totaled my car. They had to pry me out. I was not hurt. I asked the Lord, "Why did you tell me and I listened but the wreck still happened?" He replied: "you listened." Meaning - She wasn't listening.

What I learned is our mortality is threatened by people who don't believe and aren't listening for his voice." Yet, God kept me safe and even had one witness who saw everything and talked to police and I hardly had to say a word. Once again I learned: My God is real, alive, knows what is going on in my life and cares.

Now, there are other experiences like the Sunday when I was in church listening to a lovely song and praying for a miracle to happen right then among our congregation and suddenly the sanctuary disappeared and I saw a vision ... like a window was opened for me to see and learn something. But I won't share now ... people say my posts are too long.

Could be. But I think you are in trouble.

16 But rise and stand on your feet; for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of the things which you have seen and of the things which I will yet reveal to you.

8 Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is completed, then that which is in part will be done away.

When the scripture is completed, those supernatural events (which were for Israel's tribulation) will go away. We know at least once Paul says he wasn't told something. As such, we know the revelation given to him was not all at once. What I am posting is for those who think they have gifts of the Holy Spirit, as if eternal life isn't good enough of a gift. Your testimony reminds me of it.

I have not said that Christ appeared to me. And I have not shared a prophesy that involves end times or anything else except MAYBE one. I have mostly told about personal dreams and words of knowledge that were meant for me and they have already come true or they taught me things from Scripture.

I have had one dream which I think might be prophetic and I've shared it in the past - even here on TOL years ago. I did not know what it meant and one person did help me somewhat with that dream. So far my experiences have been to no avail regarding anyone's walk with the Lord. That I know of...

I do find special spiritual experiences comforting and reassuring and I must be a needy person ... but unless God chooses to do more ... then I'm just walking with my Lord for I need him everyday.

Well, that is a bit insulting, but I'm brushing it off. Our Lord did not give us the gift of the Holy Spirit only to hold us unto salvation ... This gift was more than that. You must not have read the scripture about how it would teach us and even give us the right words to say when we were in need of them. Scripture of course. Believers with the Holy Spirit have now become the tabernacle/dwelling place of God here on earth.

I did not ask for my experiences ... The Lord sent them. I am as surprised as anyone would be... but I can't deny them.

Did you know that God can give things to people by measure?

Mortals have a measure of life from God when we were born into this world ... but Jesus told the woman at the well that he had "water" - "Spiritual life" to give her from which she ( as a mortal who needed H20 to survive this life) would never thirst again ... IOW it was an additional measure of life which would take her to his eternal kingdom. I believe that measure of life is the Holy Spirit in us which we receive when we are "born again- born of the spirit."

I believe I have that gift now ... Not because I think I deserve it, but because My Savior has been given the authority to forgive sins ... and show mercy.
