Why Have Conservatives Been Unable To Stop The Liberal Revolution That Threatens Their Culture?

Is a question asked by Patrick J. Buchanan in his classic work The Death Of The West.

Says Buchanan:

One reason is "The Liberals have captured the institutions where the young
spend most of their waking hours -- MTV and primetime, movies and
magazines, schools and colleges -- the Liberal Revolution is able to shape
the values, beliefs, and attitudes of the young. Artists, actors, playwrights,
song writers, and popular singers are almost all on the other side.

(As for the Conservatives. . . )

Op-ed page commentators and radio hosts (eg Mark Levine) cannot match
this cultural firepower. The arsenals are unequal. Moreover, the entertainment
that the (Liberal) cultural revolution has to offer is far more attractive and
alluring, thus many of the children of traditionalists defect."
__Patrick J. Buchanan, The Death Of The West, pages 201-211

The Death Of The West is an oldie goldie but well worth
reading or re-reading. Its a magnificent conservative
work.

Thoughts?

That analysis misses one of the biggest factors of all: conservative hypocrisy.
The hypocrisy on both sides of politics in America and the West
is HUGE and enormous and growing larger by the hour.
And their hypocrisy is just one of their MANY sins.

The problem with The Death of the West being an oldie (2002) is that the book predates social media. Conservatives can no longer claim "The Liberals have captured the institutions where the young spend most of their waking hours" when there's now a vast arsenal of right-wing media as close as their phone. YouTube above all (complaints of censorship notwithstanding, most right-wing YouTube channels are alive and kicking), but also Tiktok and Twitter and Reddit and all the right-wing clones of those like Gettr, Nitter, Gab, Rumble, Parler, Telegram, and a wide selection of traditional websites.

The right-wing is getting its message out, no problem at all.

America still has a very strong Republican base and independents here are not shy about voting Republican whenever Democratic tomfoolery becomes (once again) a bridge too far.

May this never change.

Good points.
Thanks for the update.

Best.

No. Social liberals are generally honest about who they are and what they believe, but conservatives "come out of the closet" on a regular basis.
I think Pete Buttigieg was once in the closet but came out when he saw an opportunity to advance himself in the sexually perverted democrat party.

False.
Social liberals promote and support pure evil.

By the way . . .

Here is another quote from Buchanan that I wanted to put in this thread.

"Americans who look upon this cultural revolution as politics-as-usual
do not understand it. It means to make an end of the country we love.
It cannot be appeased. Its relentless, reckless use of terms like
extremist, sexist, racist, homophobe, nativist, xenophobe, fascist,
and Nazi testifies to how seriously it takes the struggle and how it
views those who resist. For the true believers in the revolution the
Right is not just wrong, the Right is evil."__Patrick J. Buchanan,
The Death Of The West, page 215

Observation: The list of SINS and EVIL that the Donk Party supports
either directly or indirectly is HUGE-ENORMOUS and growing. Fact.

You can call it whatever you want, but my point is that at least social liberals are honest about who they are and what they believe, whereas all too often conservatives lie about who they really are and what they believe.

My view: You are biased and prejudiced against conservatives and
therefore, everything you say must be viewed in light of that.

Here is another quote from Buchanan I wanted to put into this thread:

"A new generation has grown up for whom the cultural revolution is not a
revolution at all, but the culture they were born into and have known all
their lives. Public homosexuality, pornography, abortion, trash talk on TV
and in movies, and filthy lyrics in popular music have all been around since
before they can remember. No big deal. Many have come to accept the
axioms of modernity about how wicked the old America was It is the
traditional culture they find odd. They have passed through the schools
and universities, consumed the fare, and come to believe what they were
taught about the country's old heroes and history. 'We will steal your
children', the sixties radicals howled at Middle America. They did."

We need a conservative return to classical education theory.

Jerry Falwell Jr., Jimmy Swaggart, Ted Haggard, Jim Bakker, Dennis Hastert, Paul Crouch, Jeff Gannon, Larry Craig, Mark Foley, David Vitter, Bob Packwood, Tim Murphy, Dan Crane, Jim Jordan, etc. The list goes on and on...
Create a list of all the criminals and immoral scumbags that are on your
side of the political aisle and put them up here in the thread and go
worldwide historywide with your list and you'll have thousands and
thousands of vile filthy scumbags on your side of the political aisle. Do it.
