Guess what?
We know that.
The point is, you all are very selective in your application of which words He spoke to whom.
There are words He spoke, obedience to which you will say salvation depends. We say, "No, He wasn't speaking to or about us there," and we can prove it in more than one way. But people like you will insist we're wrong and just don't want to obey His Words. GT and Meshak are the loudest about that but are hardly the only ones here who believe it.
That's the point we try to make when a hypocrite like GT says something that clearly NONE of you really believe...
I believe that the teachings of Jesus are true, God wants our hearts cleansed, and the holy spirit does that job, he is the one giving us a conscience and guiding us in the right path. Helping us to overcome sin.
What about zacchaeus he too was rich, but Jesus didn't tell him to sell all that he had, because he let go of that selfish heart himself and shared what he had, he gave half to the poor and rembursed four times over those that he had taken from under false accusation. His heart condition was right, where the rich man couldn't part with the money, his was wrong.
God knows what each of us are like inside, and he will show us what is wrong with us, and if we have the holy spirit then or conscience should be pricking us always.
Luke 19
And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans,
and he was rich.
And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
And Jesus said unto him,
This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
