Do you know how many feathers each chicken has? 21 million chickens have like a gazillion feathers. Did you know that chicken feathers are processed into animal feed and fertilizer?

Near as I can figure out there are between 1 and 2 billion live chickens in the US. We kill off broilers at about 6 weeks of age. Laying hens would live to an average age of 6 years but their production declines so few are let live beyond about a year.

A chicken will produce about 10 pounds of chicken manure in a month. I'm not sure what is done with the 15 billions of pounds of chicken manure each month.

you should take a trip down the 401 past london ontario during the spring thaw some time - a winter's worth of manure thawing on the fields :barf:

Why do cat lovers hate birds?

That's plenty of birds. But there's no more effective bird killer than species' lifelong enemy: cats. All told, felines kill 1.4 to 3.7 billion birds a year. Sylvester would be proud.
