When did the gospel go to the Gentiles?

What is the gospel of the kingdom?

edit: You seemed so sure in that first post. Luke was clear.
I am positive that Luke is correct. That's why I don't understand your question. He made it very plain that the gospel went to the Gentiles before Paul's conversion. Paul's name was still Saul.

Yes you do. Which is why I pass out harsh rebuke after back and forth with tactics meant to deceive. I asked what is the gospel of the kingdom.

What is the gospel of the kingdom? What were the 12 preaching?

Matthew 4 23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.

Nope. I have no desire to deceive anyone. You can claim I'm liar all you want but it doesn't make it true.

I fully disagree with the dispensationalist claim that the gospel of the kingdom is any different than the gospel of Christ that Phillip and Paul taught. Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you. So how is that different than what Paul taught?

He also said he is a Jew who is one inwardly, not outwardly.

Romans 2: 29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Colossians 2: 10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

Please answer the question you were asked:

What is the gospel of the kingdom? What were the 12 preaching?

@Gary K:

Nope. I have no desire to deceive anyone. You can claim I'm liar all you want but it doesn't make it true.

The answer isn't this, because this isn't even related to the question.

I fully disagree with the dispensationalist claim that the gospel of the kingdom is any different than the gospel of Christ that Phillip and Paul taught.

It can't be this, because this is just you reiterating for the umpteenth time how you disagree with dispensationalism.

Jesus said the kingdom of God is within you.

It can't be this, because there simply isn't enough here for it to be any sort of gospel.

So how is that different than what Paul taught?

Obviously not this, because it's a question, not an answer.

He also said he is a Jew who is one inwardly, not outwardly.

It can't be this either, because it's not a gospel.

And it can't be this either, because that's Paul's gospel of the grace of God, not the Gospel of the Kingdom of Israel...

Lie deleted.
Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures

Show me the gospel of the kingdom from the New Testament. I can show you from the Old Testament too. Both.

The Pharisees hated the Samaritans even more than the did the average pagan because of what happened during Ezra's and Nehemiah's day. Therefore they saw this as a bigger insult than preaching to the average Gentile.

Luke makes it absolutely clear that the gospel went to Gentiles, as technically that's what the Samaritans were, before Paul's conversion..
No, technically Samaritans are Israelite's.

Secondly, the WAY that they "preached Christ" is not the same as the way that Paul preached Christ.

They "preached Christ" as the Messiah, as a king of the Jews... etc. etc. etc.

They did NOT "preach the cross" per Paul.

The gospel of the kingdom did not even include the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

Luke 9:1-2 (AKJV/PCE)
(9:1) Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. (9:2) And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.
Luke 18:31-34 (AKJV/PCE)
(18:31) ¶ Then he took [unto him] the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. (18:32) For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: (18:33) And they shall scourge [him], and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. (18:34) And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

SO... the twelve were preaching the gospel of the kingdom for YEARS and YET they did NOT even know that Christ would die and be raised on the third day!!!!

EVEN after Christ's death and resurrection, they did NOT know the scripture about the resurrection:
John 20:9 (AKJV/PCE)
(20:9) For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.
Wake up and smell the coffee GK!

I see no difference that dispensationalists claim exists. You will never, can never, convince me such a difference exists.

Colossians 2: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Jesus announced His kingdom telling the Pharisees that He was not going to have a political, but a spiritual kingdom at His first coming, by saying the kingdom of heaven is within you. There is no difference between that and Paul's statement in Colossians 2: 27. The kingdom of God on this earth until the 2nd coming is a spiritual kingdom. Jesus will not reign here until the earth is made new.

I know that's another major source of contention between us, but so be it. I see no scriptural evidence for a rapture of part of the people and then a second chance for millions more. It will just call out more accusations of me being a liar. It has never happened in earth's history. When God said He would destroy the earth with water how many people got a second chance? They had a 120 year probation to listen to and accept Noah's teaching, but they rejected it. That was all the probation they had. After the door of the ark closed there was no second chance. All decisions were final. So it will be at the second coming. People will have decided once and for all who they will follow, God or the devil and difference in messaging will be starkly clear.

Blindness of the truth on your part.

Stubbornness against the truth on your part.
Colossians 2: 27 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Something God kept secret (this mystery) until He revealed it to Paul.
Jesus announced His kingdom telling the Pharisees that He was not going to have a political, but a spiritual kingdom at His first coming, by saying the kingdom of heaven is within you.
A misunderstood passage for sure. It does NOT cancel the entire rest of the Bible.
It's ridiculous that people think that Jesus told these UNBELIEVING Pharisees that the "kingdom of God" was inside of THEM.

Also see this:
Matt 21:43 (AKJV/PCE)
(21:43) Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.
There is no difference between that and Paul's statement in Colossians 2: 27. The kingdom of God on this earth until the 2nd coming is a spiritual kingdom. Jesus will not reign here until the earth is made new.
The kingdom that Jesus was talking about is NOT the body of Christ.

Firstly, the "catching away" is quite clearly taught by Paul.
Secondly, the great tribulation is not a "second chance". It is a return to what God was doing before He "paused" His earthly plans and revealed this dispensation of grace. At that point, His grace freely given will not be available.

I will only comment on the probationary period.

Revelation 22: 10 And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Where is there a period between the second coming and everyone receiving their reward for their works. And notice that all cases are determined before the second coming. The only way to dispute this is to refuse to believe it as this is a positive, authoritative statement by Jesus.

So we are judged according to how we live and that is determined by our spiritual condition

I' m not here to convince you, but bring a sword. Show from scripture, just a few verses, the gospel of the kingdom.
That is impossible. Our positions on scripture have such a massive gap between them that you will accept nothing I say. Instead you call me a liar just as you, RD, and JR do with others who don't agree with you. This has been proven many many times on this forum and even in this thread. There is no respectful discussion of positions.

So why are you even here then?

If it's not possible to convince you, and you don't bother trying to convince anyone else because you think they won't listen, why do you even post here anymore?

You cannot think a coherent thought.
You addressed not a SINGLE thing that I wrote. Now you're off on some tangent as per usual.

Because God has laid it on my heart to tell you the truth. It's not my job to convince you of anything. That's the job of the HS. Only He can change hearts and minds.

I have everyone here on my prayer list and pray for you daily.
