What if a law is made unconstitutionally?

If a law is made not in a way that is stated in the constitution is it truly a law and are we obligated to obey it?

What do you mean "If"? It happens all the time and violence with hundreds of thousands of deaths (like the civil war) are the result. And all the Americans that were not allowed to defend themselves with illegal gun control laws.
