I'm not sure he's taken 17 positions. But here are a few that he's either taken or suggested:
1. Backing out of the Paris climate agreement and otherwise ignoring climate change.
2. Defaulting on the debt.
3. Tax cuts for the rich.
4. Repeal the Affordable Care Act.
5. Pull out of-- or renegotiate NAFTA.
6. Massive tariffs and trade war with China.
7. A ban on Muslims entering the country.
8. Ending birthright citizenship.
9. Some sort of mass deportation.
10. Somehow forcing stores to say "Merry Christmas" during the holidays.
11. He's literally said that he would have protesters arrested.
12. Using libel or defamation laws to attack journalists.
13. Trying US citizens in military tribunals.
14. Rolling back the rights of people accused of crimes.
15. A database to track American Muslims.
16. A hiring freeze for federal workers.
17. Some sort of formula requiring multiple federal regulations to be scrapped for each one introduced.
18. Term limits for Congress.
19. Some nonsense he said about fixing California's drought that he doesn't believe in by not allowing environmental regulation to prevent water going to farms.
20. Eliminating funding for Earth Science at NASA.
21. Building the Keystone XL pipeline, DAPL, and every other pipeline you can think of.
22. Somehow getting the coal industry going again.
23. Backing out of the nuclear deal between the several parties and Iran.
24. "Rethinking" America's position in NATO.
25. Lifting sanctions on Russia and recognizing Crimea as Russian territory.
26. Allowing countries that don't have nuclear weapons to get them, such as Japan and Saudi Arabia.
Well, I guess that's a start.

trump proposed that we stop allowing muslims to immigrate to the us until we "get a handle on this" or something similar

7. He wants a ban on unvetted Muslim immigration from countries that have terrorist problems. Fabulous policy.
8. Citizenship is for people established here and their children. Coming here to establish citizenship through birth is not fair to existing citizens and honest immigrants.
You wouldn't, would you? These measures are designed to protect you. You aren't going to be rounded up and placed in a camp.
