Some time ago as I lay in my bed
I thought of that day and what had been said
By a guy from my school
Who thought he was cool
Yet despised my God and the Bible I had read
I confronted him that day as he began to speak
Hey moron, your God is so lame and so weak
So angry I got
That I wanted to take a shot
At punching him square in his beak
But I kept myself calmed and learned to be cool
As the words this guy spoke make him look like a fool
So a site was I to find
Where I could speak my mind
Of things that I believed to be true
So I surfed the net from day until night
And just happened to find this wonderful site
TOL is it's name
Theological debate is it's game
And I knew from the start that this site was just right
I could never be wrong as I posted away
And people replied with a yah or a nay
Some friends have I met
And my mind has been set
That Zakath :zakath: is more looney than Jay :freak:!
So if you must know, TOL's the place to be
A site where you could definitly debate for free
But if you'd like
You could pay a small price
And become a cool subscriber like me!

Lost, wandering, lonely, tired
Never knowing where to turn
Somedays I felt like giving up
But, someone told me about God's love
At first, I didn't believe that there could be
Someone who would love unconditionally
But, then, I studied about this love
That came to all of us from above
I turned my life into His hands
I asked Him to guide me through this time
When all seems like it is lost
And, teach me to help others along the way
I grew as time passed along
I started singing a new song
All about this man who died for me
About the Father who touched me
I went through more troubles
And stayed strong
But that didn't last
For very long
I gave up on God and all my friends
I wanted my miserable life to end
While contemplating why I should go on
I found a place online
Where I saw people who showed their love
Despite the differences they'd find
I read debates and colorful discussions
I laughed at jokes until my sides hurt
I learned so much about life from that place
I just had to become a part
So, I subscribed and introduced myself
I felt I was immediately gathered in
By this group of strangers I had met
Who made me one of them
TOL's my chosen family
I've chosen to stick with them
Other sites may come and go
But, this place is my home til the end
Of course, I have my favorite
People on the board:
Sozo, Freak, Zakath, Knight,
Poly, Aimiel, BillyBob, One Eyed Jack,
Eireann, and many, many more
But, like the ones who welcomed me,
I can always handle more
So, when I turn off my computer
Late at night,
I go to bed and dream of them
Imagining what they'd do
If I showed up at their home or church
Just to surprise them
I imagine the hugs, the laughter, the tears,
The stories that we all would share
I imagine their husbands, wives, and children
The ones for whom they all care
I see Knight coaching hockey,
Sozo preaching, Freak exorcising demons
Zakath counselling some "poor deluded soul
Who's been taken in by the cult of Christianity"
I see Poly with her children, learning day to day,
I see BillyBob with his shotgun, chasing Eirean away
I see Z Man with his wife, and Aimiel with his family
All of them join together to make TOL the place to be

eh hem- my entry only sounds right if you read it in a dark British accent...
Once upon a website dreary, while I pondered- dull and dreary,
thoughts of many theologians left to be known well-
while my mouse I kept on clicking- hit a link that kept me blinking-
Blinking at a site the wonderous name I now must tell-
"Tis a masterpiece!" I muttered "Like the clear ring of a bell!
Tis a masterpiece- this TOL."
Ah-directly, I remember, I became a devoted member-
posting till each smiling member I knew well and so much more-
Eagerly I wished the morrow- when I'd have the chance to borrow
from my day quite free from sorrow- time to post on TOL-
where all can learn to be free from hell.
And so I post on- never quitting- like the friends I'd soon be getting-
posting....posting not forgetting the joy I've found on the site I love well...
this is the joy of all theolgians- the joy of craving TOL...
